Psalms 16
The Lord, the Psalmist’s Portion in Life and Salvation in Death.
A Possibly Epigrammatic Poem or Atonement PsalmMikhtam of David.
11Protect me, God, for 2I take refuge in You.23I said to the Lord, “You are 4my Lord; I 5have nothing good besides You.”3As for the 67saints who are on the earth, 8They are the majestic ones; 9all my delight is in them.410The 11pains of those who have acquired another god will be multiplied; I will not pour out their drink offerings of 12blood, Nor will I 13take their names upon my lips.
5The Lord is the 14portion of my inheritance and my 15cup; You support my 16lot.6The measuring 17lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; Indeed, my inheritance is 18beautiful to me.
7I will bless the Lord who has 19advised me; Indeed, my 2021mind instructs me in the night.822I have 23set the Lord continually before me; Because He is 24at my right hand, 25I will not be shaken.9Therefore 26my heart is glad and 27my glory rejoices; My flesh also will 28dwell securely.10For You 29will not abandon my soul to 30Sheol; You will not 3132allow Your 33Holy One to 34undergo decay.11You will make known to me 35the way of life; In 36Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are 37pleasures forever.
