Psalms 146
The Lord, an Abundant Helper.
11Praise 2the Lord! 3Praise the Lord, my soul!2I will praise the Lord 4while I live; I will 5sing praises to my God while I 6have my being.37Do not trust in noblemen, In 8mortal 9man, in whom there is 10no salvation.4His 11spirit departs, he 12returns to 13the earth; On that very day his 14plans perish.515Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, Whose 16hope is in the Lord his God,6Who 17made heaven and earth, The 18sea and everything that is in them; Who 19keeps 20faith forever;7Who 21executes justice for the oppressed; Who 22gives food to the hungry. The Lord 23frees the prisoners.
8The Lord 24opens the eyes of those who are blind; The Lord 25raises up those who are bowed down; The Lord 26loves the righteous.9The Lord 27watches over strangers; He 2829supports the fatherless and the widow, But He 30thwarts 31the way of the wicked.10The Lord will 32reign forever, Your God, Zion, to all generations. 33Praise 34the Lord!
