Psalms 29

The Voice of the Lord in the Storm.

A Psalm of David.

1 1Ascribe to the Lord, 2sons of the mighty, Ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.2Ascribe to the Lord the glory 3due His name; Worship the Lord 4in holy attire.

3The 5voice of the Lord is on the waters; The God of glory 6thunders, The Lord is over 7 8many waters.4The voice of the Lord is 9powerful, The voice of the Lord is majestic.5The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars; Yes, the Lord breaks 10the cedars of Lebanon in pieces.6He makes Lebanon 11skip like a calf, And 12Sirion like a young wild ox.7The voice of the Lord divides 13flames of fire.8The voice of the Lord 14shakes the wilderness; The Lord shakes the wilderness of 15Kadesh.9The voice of the Lord makes 16the deer give birth And strips the forests bare; And 17in His temple everything says, “Glory!”

10The Lord sat as King at the 18flood; Yes, the Lord sits as 19King forever.11 20The Lord will give 21strength to His people; 22The Lord will bless His people with 23peace.
