Psalms 4
Evening Prayer of Trust in God.
I.e., Belonging to the choir director’s anthologyFor the music director; on stringed instruments. A Psalm of David.
11Answer me when 2I call, God 3of my righteousness! You have 45relieved me in my distress; Be 6gracious to me and 7hear my prayer.
2You sons of man, how long will 8my 9honor be treated as 10an insult? How long will you love 11what is worthless and strive for a 12lie? Selah3But know that the Lord has 1314set apart the 15godly person for Himself; The Lord 16hears when I call to Him.
41718Tremble, 1920and do not sin; 2122Meditate in your heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah5Offer 23the 24sacrifices of righteousness, And 25trust in the Lord.
6Many are saying, “26Who will show us anything good?” 27Lift up the light of Your face upon us, Lord!7You have put 28joy in my heart, More than when their grain and new wine are abundant.8In peace I will 29both 30lie down and sleep, For You alone, Lord, have me 31dwell in safety.
