Psalms 84

Longing for the Temple Worship.

For the music director; Or according toon the Gittith. A Psalm of the sons of Korah.

1How lovely are Your 1dwelling places, Lord of armies!2My 2soul longed and even yearned for the courtyards of the Lord; My heart and my flesh sing for joy to the 3living God.3The bird also has found a house, And the swallow a nest for herself, where she may put her young: Your 4altars, Lord of armies, 5My King and my God.46Blessed are those who dwell in Your house! They are 7ever praising You. Selah

5Blessed is the person whose 8strength is in You, In 9whose heart are the 10roads to Zion!6Passing through the Valley of 11Baca they make it a 12spring; The 13early rain also covers it with blessings.7They 14go from strength to strength, 15Every one of them 16appears before God in Zion.

817Lord God of armies, hear my prayer; Listen, 18God of Jacob! Selah9See our 19shield, God, And look at the face of 20Your anointed.10For 21a day in Your courtyards is better than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather stand at the threshold of the house of my God Than live in the tents of wickedness.11For the Lord God is 22a sun and 23shield; The Lord gives grace and 24glory; 25He withholds no good thing 26from those who walk with integrity.12Lord of armies, 27Blessed is the person who trusts in You!
