Psalms 127
Prosperity Comes from the Lord.
A Song of Ascents, of Solomon.
1Unless the Lord 1builds a house, They who build it labor in vain; Unless the Lord 2guards a city, The watchman stays awake in vain.2It is futile for you to rise up early, To 3stay up late, To 4eat the bread of painful labor; This is how He gives to His 5beloved 6sleep.
3Behold, 7children are a 8gift of the Lord, The 9fruit of the womb is a reward.4Like arrows in the hand of a 10warrior, So are the children of one’s youth.511Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them; 12They will not be ashamed When they 13speak with their enemies 14in the gate.
