Psalms 46
God, the Refuge of His People.
For the music director. A Psalm of the sons of Korah, Possibly for soprano voicesset to Alamoth. A Song.
1God is our 1refuge and strength, A 2very 3ready help 4in 5trouble.2Therefore we will 6not fear, though 7the earth shakes And 8the mountains slip into the heart of the 9sea;3Though its 10waters roar and foam, Though the mountains quake at its swelling pride. Selah
4There is a 11river whose streams make the 12city of God happy, The holy 13dwelling places of the Most High.5God is 14in the midst of her, she will not be moved; God will 15help her 16when morning dawns.6The 17nations 18made an uproar, the kingdoms tottered; He 1920raised His voice, the earth 21quaked.7The Lord of armies 22is with us; The God of Jacob is 23our stronghold. Selah
8Come, 24behold the works of the Lord, 25Who has inflicted 26horrific events on the earth.9He 27makes wars to cease to the end of the earth; He 28breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two; He 29burns the chariots with fire.10“30Stop striving and 31know that I am God; I will be 32exalted among the 33nations, I will be exalted on the earth.”11The Lord of armies is with us; The God of Jacob is our stronghold. Selah
