Psalms 78:32-55

32In spite of all this they 1still sinned And 2did not believe in His wonderful works.33So He brought 3their days to an end in futility, And their years to an end in sudden terror.

34When He killed them, then they 4sought Him, And they returned and searched 5diligently for God;35And they remembered that God was their 6rock, And the Most High God their 7Redeemer.36But they 8flattered Him with their mouth And 9lied to Him with their tongue.37For their heart was not 10steadfast toward Him, Nor were they faithful with His covenant.38But He, being 11compassionate, 1213forgave their wrongdoing and did not destroy them; And often He 1415restrained His anger And did not stir up all His wrath.39So 16He remembered that they were only 17flesh, A 1819wind that passes and does not return.

40How often they 20rebelled against Him in the wilderness And 21grieved Him in the 22desert!41Again and again they 2324tempted God, And pained the 25Holy One of Israel.42They 26did not remember 27His 28power, The day when He 29redeemed them from the enemy,43When He performed His 30signs in Egypt And His 31marvels in the field of Zoan,44And 32turned their rivers to blood, And their streams, so that they could not drink.45He sent swarms of 33flies among them that devoured them, And 34frogs that destroyed them.46He also gave their crops to the 35grasshopper And the product of their labor to the 36locust.47He 37destroyed their vines with 38hailstones And their sycamore trees with frost.48He also turned their 39cattle over to the hailstones, And their herds to bolts of lightning.49He 40sent His burning anger upon them, Fury and indignation and trouble, A band of 41destroying angels.50He leveled a path for His anger; He did not spare their souls from death, But 42turned their lives over to the plague,51And 43struck all the firstborn in Egypt, The 44first and best of their vigor in the tents of 45Ham.52But He 46led His own people out like sheep, And guided them in the wilderness 47like a flock;53He led them 48safely, so that they did not fear; But 49the sea engulfed their enemies.

54So 50He brought them to His holy 51land, To this 5253hill country 54which His right hand had gained.55He also 55drove out the nations from them And 56apportioned them as an inheritance by measurement, And had the tribes of Israel dwell in their tents.
