Psalms 94:4-23

4They pour out words, they 1speak arrogantly; All who do injustice 2boast.5They 3crush Your people, Lord, And 4afflict Your inheritance.6They 5kill the widow and the stranger And murder the orphans.76They have said, “7The Lord does not see, Nor does the God of Jacob perceive.”

8Pay attention, you 8stupid ones among the people; And when will you understand, 9foolish ones?9He who 10planted the ear, 11does He not hear? Or He who formed the eye, 12does He not see?10He who 1314disciplines the nations, will He not rebuke, He who 15teaches mankind knowledge?11The Lord 16knows human thoughts, 17That they are mere breath.

12Blessed is the man whom 18You discipline, 19Lord, And 20whom You teach from Your Law,13So that You may grant him 21relief from the 22days of adversity, Until 23a pit is dug for the wicked.14For 24the Lord will not abandon His people, Nor will He 25abandon His inheritance.15For 2627judgment 28will again be righteous, And all the upright in heart 29will follow it.16Who will 30stand up for me against evildoers? Who will take his stand for me 31against those who do injustice?

17If 32the Lord had not been my help, My soul would soon have dwelt in the land of silence.18If I should say, “33My foot has slipped,” Your faithfulness, Lord, will support me.19When my anxious thoughts 34multiply within me, Your 35comfort delights my soul.20Can a 3637throne of destruction be allied with You, One 38which devises 39mischief by decree?21They 40band themselves together against the 41life of the righteous And 42condemn 43the innocent to death.22But the Lord has been my 44refuge, And my God the 45rock of my refuge.23He has 46brought back their injustice upon them, And He will 4748destroy them in their evil; The Lord our God will 49destroy them.
