Context of Psalms 25:14
12Who is the person who fears the Lord? He will instruct him in the way he should choose. 13His soul will dwell in prosperity, And his descendants will inherit the land. The secret of the Lord is for those who fear Him, And He will make them know His covenant. 15My eyes are continually toward the Lord, For He will rescue my feet from the net. 16Turn to me and be gracious to me, For I am lonely and afflicted.

It properly means a couch or cushion; and then, a divan or circle of friends sitting together; then, deliberation or consultation; then, familiar contact, intimacy; and then, a “secret,” - as if it were the result of a private consultation among friends, or something which pertained to them, and which they did not wish to have known. It is rendered “secret” in Genesis…Read the comment
- Matthew Henry Concise Commentary · v. 8-14Verses 8-14 We are all sinners; and Christ came into the world to save sinners, to teach sinners, to call sinners to repentance.
