Psalms 69:5-12
5God, You know 1my foolishness, And 2my guilt is not hidden from You.6May those who wait for You not 3be ashamed because of me, Lord 4God of armies; May those who seek You not be dishonored because of me, God of Israel,7Because 5for Your sake I have endured disgrace; 6Dishonor has covered my face.8I have become 7estranged 8from my brothers, And a stranger to my mother’s sons.9For 9zeal for Your house has consumed me, And 10the taunts of those who taunt You have fallen on me.10When I wept 11in my soul with fasting, It became my 12disgrace.11When I made 13sackcloth my clothing, I became 14a proverb to them.12Those who 15sit in the gate talk about me, And 16songs of mockery by those habitually drunk are about me.
