Psalms 44:17-22
17All this has come upon us, but we have 1not forgotten You, And we have not 2dealt falsely with Your covenant.18Our heart has not 3turned back, And our steps 4have not deviated from Your way,19Yet You have 5crushed us in a place of 6jackals And covered us with 78deep darkness.
20If we had 9forgotten the name of our God Or extended our 10hands to 11a strange god,21Would God not 12find this out? For He knows the secrets of the heart.22But 13for Your sake we are killed all day long; We are regarded as 14sheep to be slaughtered.
