Psalms 105:10-23
10Then He 1confirmed it to Jacob as a statute, To Israel as an everlasting covenant,11Saying, “2To you I will give the land of Canaan As the 34portion of your inheritance,”12When they were only a 5few people in number, Very few, and 6strangers in it.13And they wandered from nation to nation, From one kingdom to another people,14He 7allowed no one to oppress them, And He 89rebuked kings for their sakes, saying,15“10Do not touch My anointed ones, And do not harm My prophets.”
16And He 11called for a famine upon the land; He 12broke the whole staff of bread.17He 13sent a man before them, Joseph, who was 14sold as a slave.18They forced his 15feet into shackles, 16He was put in irons;19Until the time that his 17word came to pass, The word of the Lord 18refined him.20The 19king sent and released him, The ruler of peoples, and set him free.21He 20made him lord of his house, And ruler over all his possessions,22To 21imprison his high officials 2223at will, That he might teach his elders wisdom.2324Israel also came into Egypt; So Jacob 25lived in the land of Ham.
