Psalms 90:3-10

3You 1turn mortals back into dust And say, “Return, you sons of mankind.”4For 2a thousand years in Your sight Are like 3yesterday when it passes by, 4Or like a 5watch in the night.5You 6have 7swept them away like a flood, they 8 9fall asleep; In the morning they are like 10grass that 11sprouts anew.6In the morning it 12flourishes and 13sprouts anew; Toward evening it 14wilts and 15withers away.

7For we have been 16consumed by Your anger, And we have been terrified by Your wrath.8You have 17placed our guilty deeds before You, Our 18hidden sins in the light of Your presence.9For 19all our days have dwindled away in Your fury; We have finished our years like a 20sigh.10As for the days of our 21life, 22they contain seventy years, Or if due to strength, 23eighty years, Yet their pride is only 24trouble and tragedy; For it quickly passes, and we 25disappear.
