Psalms 9:13-20

13Be gracious to me, Lord; See my oppression from those 1who hate me, You who 2lift me up from the gates of death,14So that I may tell of 3all Your praises, That in the gates of the daughter of Zion I may 4rejoice in Your 5salvation.15The nations have sunk down 6into the pit which they have made; In the 7net which they hid, their own foot has been caught.16The Lord has 8made Himself known; He has 9executed judgment. A wicked one is ensnared in the work of his own hands. 10Higgaion Selah

17The wicked will 11 12return to 13Sheol, All the nations who 14forget God.18For the 15needy will not always be forgotten, Nor the 16hope of the afflicted perish forever.19 17Arise, Lord, do not let mankind prevail; Let the nations be 18judged before You.20Put them 19in fear, Lord; Let the nations know that they are 20merely human.
