Psalms 79:8-13

8 1Do not 2hold us responsible for 3the guilty deeds of our forefathers; Let Your compassion come quickly to 4meet us, For we have 5become very low.9 6Help us, God of our salvation, for the glory of 7Your name; And save us and 8 9forgive our sins 10for the sake of Your name.10 11Why should the nations say, “Where is their God?” Let 12vengeance for the blood of Your servants which has been shed Be known among the nations in our sight.11Let 13the groaning of the prisoner come before You; According to the greatness of Your 14power, let 15those who are 16doomed to die remain.12And return to our neighbors 17seven times as much 18into their lap Their 19taunts with which they have taunted You, Lord.13So we Your people and the 20sheep of Your 21pasture Will 22give thanks to You forever; To all generations we will 23tell of Your praise.
