Psalms 78:26-37
26He 1made the east wind blow in the sky And by His 2power He directed the south wind.27When He rained meat upon them like the dust, Even 3winged fowl like the sand of the seas,28He let them fall in the midst of 4their camp, All around their dwellings.29So they 5ate and were well filled, And He 6satisfied their longing.307Yet before they had abandoned their longing, 8While their food was in their mouths,31The 9anger of God rose against them And killed 10some of their 11strongest ones, And 12subdued the choice men of Israel.32In spite of all this they 13still sinned And 14did not believe in His wonderful works.33So He brought 15their days to an end in futility, And their years to an end in sudden terror.
34When He killed them, then they 16sought Him, And they returned and searched 17diligently for God;35And they remembered that God was their 18rock, And the Most High God their 19Redeemer.36But they 20flattered Him with their mouth And 21lied to Him with their tongue.37For their heart was not 22steadfast toward Him, Nor were they faithful with His covenant.
