Psalms 73:12-22

12Behold, 1these are the wicked; And always 2at ease, they have increased in wealth.13Surely 3in vain I have 4kept my heart pure And 5washed my hands in innocence;14For I have been stricken 6all day long, And 7 8punished every morning.

15If I had said, “I will speak this way,” Behold, I would have betrayed the 9generation of Your children.16When I 10thought of understanding this, It was 11troublesome in my sight17Until I entered the 12 13sanctuary of God; Then I perceived their 14end.18You indeed put them on 15slippery ground; You dropped them into 16 17ruin.19How they are 18 19destroyed in a moment! They are utterly swept away by 20sudden terrors!20Like a 21dream when one awakes, Lord, when 22stirred, You will 23despise their image.

21When my 24heart was embittered And I was 25pierced 26within,22Then I was 27stupid and ignorant; I was like an 28animal 29before You.
