Psalms 72:1-8

1Give the king 1Your judgments, God, And 2Your righteousness to the king’s son.2 3May 4he 5judge Your people with righteousness And 6 7Your afflicted with justice.3 8May the mountains bring 9 10peace to the people, And the hills, in righteousness.4 11May he 12vindicate the 13afflicted of the people, Save the children of the needy, And crush the oppressor.

5 14May they fear You 15while the sun shines, And 16as long as the moon shines, throughout all generations.6 17May he come down 18like rain upon the mown grass, Like 19showers that water the earth.7 20May the 21righteous flourish in his days, As well as an 22abundance of peace, until the moon is no more.

8May he also rule 23from sea to sea, And from the Euphrates River to the ends of the earth.
