Psalms 55:9-16
9Confuse them, Lord, 1divide their tongues, For I have seen 2violence and strife in the city.10Day and night they go around her upon her walls, And evil and harm are in her midst.113Destruction is in her midst; 4Oppression and deceit do not depart from her 5streets.
12For it is 6not an enemy who taunts me, Then I could endure it; Nor is it one who hates me who 7has exalted himself against me, Then I could hide myself from him.13But it is you, a man 8my equal, My 9companion and my 10confidant;14We who had sweet 11fellowship together, 12Walked in the house of God among the commotion.15May 13death come 14deceitfully upon them; May they 15go down alive to 16Sheol, For evil is in their dwelling, in their midst.
16As for me, I shall 17call upon God, And the Lord will save me.
