Psalms 31:1-8

1 1In You, Lord, I have taken refuge; Let me never 2be 3put to shame; 4In Your righteousness rescue me.2 5Incline Your ear to me, rescue me quickly; Be a 6rock of 7strength for me, A 8stronghold to save me.3For You are my rock and 9my fortress; For the 10sake of Your name You will lead me and guide me.4You will 11pull me out of the net which they have secretly laid for me, For You are my 12strength.5 13Into Your hand I entrust my spirit; You have 14redeemed me, Lord, 15God of 16truth.

6I hate those who 17devote themselves to worthless 18idols, But I 19trust in the Lord.7I will 20rejoice and be glad in Your faithfulness, Because You have 21seen my misery; You have known the troubles of my soul,8And You have not 22handed me over to the enemy; You have set my feet in a large place.
