Psalms 3:1-8

1 1Lord, how 2my enemies have increased! Many are rising up against me.2Many are saying of my soul, “There is no 3salvation for him in God.” Selah

3But You, Lord, are 4a shield around me, My 5glory, and the One who 6lifts my head.4I was crying out to the Lord with my voice, And He 7answered me from 8His holy 9mountain. Selah5 10I 11lay down and slept; I awoke, for the Lord sustains me.6I will 12not be afraid of ten thousands of people Who have 13set themselves against me all around.

7 14Arise, Lord; 15save me, my God! For You 16have 17struck all my enemies on the 18cheek; You 19have 20shattered the teeth of the wicked.8 21 22Salvation belongs to the Lord; May Your 23blessing 24be upon Your people! Selah
