Psalms 27:1-6

1The Lord is my 1light and my 2salvation; Whom should I fear? The Lord is the 3 4defense of my life; 5Whom should I dread?2When evildoers came upon me to 6devour my flesh, My adversaries and my enemies, they 7stumbled and fell.3If an 8army encamps against me, My heart will not fear; If war arises against me, In spite of this I am 9confident.

4 10One thing I have asked from the Lord, that I shall seek: That I may 11dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, To behold 12the 13beauty of the Lord And to 14 15meditate in His temple.5For on the 16day of trouble He will 17conceal me in His 18tabernacle; He will 19hide me in the secret place of His tent; He will 20lift me up on a rock.6And now 21my head will be lifted up above my enemies around me, And I will offer 22sacrifices in His tent 23with shouts of joy; I will 24sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord.
