Psalms 116:1-9

1 1I love the Lord, because He 2hears My voice and my pleas.2Because He has 3inclined His ear to me, Therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live.3The 4snares of death encompassed me And the 5terrors of 6Sheol 7came upon me; I found distress and sorrow.4Then 8I called upon the name of the Lord: “Please, Lord, 9save my 10life!”

5 11Gracious is the Lord, and 12righteous; Yes, our God is 13compassionate.6The Lord watches over 14the simple; I was 15brought low, and He saved me.7Return to your 16rest, my soul, For the Lord has 17dealt generously with you.8For You have 18rescued my soul from death, My eyes from tears, And my feet from stumbling.9I shall walk before the Lord In the 19 20land of the living.
