Psalms 78:10-32

10They 1did not keep the covenant of God And refused to 2walk in His Law;11They 3forgot His deeds And His 4miracles that He had shown them.125He performed wonders before their fathers In the land of Egypt, in the 6field of Zoan.13He 7divided the sea and caused them to pass through, And He made the waters stand 8up like a heap.14Then He led them with the cloud by 9day And all the night with a 10light of fire.15He 11split the rocks in the wilderness And gave them plenty to drink like the ocean depths.16He 12brought forth streams from the rock And made waters run down like rivers.

17Yet they still continued to sin against Him, To 13rebel against the Most High in the desert.18And in their heart they 14put God to the test By asking for 15food 16that suited their taste.19Then they spoke against God; They said, “17Can God prepare a table in the wilderness?20Behold, He 18struck the rock so that waters gushed out, And streams were overflowing; Can He also provide bread? Will He prepare 19meat for His people?”

21Therefore the Lord heard and 20was 21full of wrath; And a fire was kindled against Jacob, And anger also mounted against Israel,22Because they 22did not believe in God And did not trust in His salvation.23Yet He commanded the clouds above And 23opened the doors of heaven;24He 24rained down manna upon them to eat, And gave them 2526food from heaven.25Man ate the bread of 27angels; He sent them 28food 2930in abundance.26He 31made the east wind blow in the sky And by His 32power He directed the south wind.27When He rained meat upon them like the dust, Even 33winged fowl like the sand of the seas,28He let them fall in the midst of 34their camp, All around their dwellings.29So they 35ate and were well filled, And He 36satisfied their longing.3037Yet before they had abandoned their longing, 38While their food was in their mouths,31The 39anger of God rose against them And killed 40some of their 41strongest ones, And 42subdued the choice men of Israel.32In spite of all this they 43still sinned And 44did not believe in His wonderful works.
