Psalms 59:8-17
8But You, Lord, 1laugh at them; You 2scoff at all the nations.
9Because of 3his 4strength I will watch for You, For God is my 5refuge.106My God 7in His faithfulness will meet me; God will let me 8look triumphantly upon my enemies.11Do not kill them, 9or my people will forget; 1011Scatter them by Your power and bring them down, Lord, 12our shield.1213On account of the 14sin of their mouths and the words of their lips, May they even be 15caught in their pride, And on account of 16curses and lies which they tell.131718Destroy them in wrath, 19destroy them so that they will no longer exist; So that people may 20know that God 21rules in Jacob, To the ends of the earth. Selah14They 22return at evening, they howl like a dog, And prowl around the city.15They 23wander about 24for food And 25murmur if they are not satisfied.
16But as for me, I will 26sing of Your strength; Yes, I will 27joyfully sing of Your faithfulness in the 28morning, For You have been my 29refuge And a 30place of refuge on the day of my distress.1731My strength, I will sing praises to You; For God is my 32refuge, the 33God who shows me favor.
