Psalms 59:11-17

11Do not kill them, 1or my people will forget; 2 3Scatter them by Your power and bring them down, Lord, 4our shield.12 5On account of the 6sin of their mouths and the words of their lips, May they even be 7caught in their pride, And on account of 8curses and lies which they tell.13 9 10Destroy them in wrath, 11destroy them so that they will no longer exist; So that people may 12know that God 13rules in Jacob, To the ends of the earth. Selah14They 14return at evening, they howl like a dog, And prowl around the city.15They 15wander about 16for food And 17murmur if they are not satisfied.

16But as for me, I will 18sing of Your strength; Yes, I will 19joyfully sing of Your faithfulness in the 20morning, For You have been my 21refuge And a 22place of refuge on the day of my distress.17 23My strength, I will sing praises to You; For God is my 24refuge, the 25God who shows me favor.
