Psalms 37:3-20
31Trust in the Lord and do good; 2Live in the land and 34cultivate faithfulness.45Delight yourself in the Lord; And He will 6give you the desires of your heart.57Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, and He will do it.6He will bring out 8your righteousness as the light, And your judgment 9as the noonday.
710Rest in the Lord and 11wait 12patiently for Him; 13Do not get upset because of one who is 14successful in his way, Because of the person who carries out wicked schemes.8Cease from anger and 15abandon wrath; Do not get upset; it leads only to evildoing.9For 16evildoers will be eliminated, But those who wait for the Lord, they will 17inherit the land.10Yet 18a little while and the wicked person will be no more; And you will look carefully for 19his place and he will not be there.11But 20the humble will inherit the land And will delight themselves in 21abundant prosperity.
12The wicked 22plots against the righteous, And 23gnashes at him with his teeth.13The Lord 24laughs at him, For He sees that 25his day is coming.14The wicked have drawn the sword and 26bent their bow To take down the 27afflicted and the needy, To 28kill off those who are upright in conduct.15Their sword will enter their own heart, And their 29bows will be broken.
1630Better is the little of the righteous Than the abundance of many wicked.17For the 31arms of the wicked will be broken, But the Lord 32sustains the righteous.18The Lord 33knows the days of the 34blameless, And their 35inheritance will be forever.19They will not be ashamed in the time of evil, And 36in the days of famine they will have plenty.20But the 37wicked will perish; And the enemies of the Lord will be like the 38glory of the pastures, They vanish--39like smoke they vanish away.
