Psalms 107:33-42
33He 1turns rivers into a 2wilderness, And springs of water into a thirsty ground;34And a 3fruitful land into a 4salt waste, Because of the wickedness of those who dwell in it.35He 5turns a 6wilderness into a pool of water, And a dry land into springs of water;36And He has the hungry live there, So that they may establish 78an inhabited city,37And sow fields and 9plant vineyards, And 10gather a fruitful harvest.38He also blesses them and they 11multiply greatly, And He 12does not let their cattle decrease.
39When they 13become few and 14lowly Because of oppression, misery, and sorrow,40He 15pours contempt upon noblemen And 16makes them wander 17in a pathless wasteland.41But He 18sets the needy 19securely on high, away from affliction, And 20makes his families like a flock.42The 21upright see it and are glad; But all 22injustice shuts its mouth.
