Psalms 106:40-47

40Therefore the 1anger of the Lord was kindled against His people, And He 2loathed His 3 4inheritance.41So 5He handed them over to the 6nations, And those who hated them ruled over them.42Their enemies also 7oppressed them, And they were subdued under their 8power.43Many times He would 9rescue them; They, however, were rebellious in their 10plan, And they 11sank down into their guilt.

44Nevertheless He looked at their distress When He 12heard their cry;45And He 13remembered His covenant for their sake, And 14 15relented 16according to the greatness of His mercy.46He also made them 17objects of compassion In the presence of all their captors.

47 18Save us, Lord our God, And 19gather us from the nations, To give thanks to Your holy name And 20glory in Your praise.
