27And when He had takenλαβὼνlabōnG2983a cupποτήριονpotērionG4221and givenG1325thanksεὐχαριστήσαςeucharistēsasG2168,He gaveG1325itto them, sayingλέγων·legōnG3004,“DrinkπίετεpieteG4095from it, allπάντες·pantesG3956of you;

28forthisτοῦτοtoutoG3778is My bloodαἷμάhaimaG129of the covenantδιαθήκηςdiathēkēsG1242,which is being pouredἐκχυννόμενονekchunnomenonG1632outG1632formanyπολλῶνpollōnG4183for forgivenessἄφεσινaphesinG859of sinsἁμαρτιῶν.hamartiōnG266.

29But I sayλέγωlegōG3004to you, I will not drinkπίωpiōG4095of thisτούτουtoutouG3778fruitG1079of the vineἀμπέλουampelouG288from nowἄρτιartiG737on untilἕωςhe'ōsG2193that dayἡμέραςhēmerasG2250whenὅτανhotanG3752I drinkπίνωpinōG4095it with you, newκαινὸνkainonG2537,in My Father’sπατρόςpatrosG3962kingdomβασιλείᾳbasileiaG932.”

30And after singingG5214aG5214hymnὑμνήσαντεςhumnēsantesG5214,they wentG1831outG1831tothe MountὄροςorosG3735of OlivesG1636.

31ThenΤότεToteG5119JesusἸησοῦς·IēsousG2424saidλέγειlegeiG3004to them,“You will allπάντεςpantesG3956fallσκανδαλισθήσεσθεskandalisthēsestheG4624awayG4624becauseG1722of Me thisταύτῃ·tautēG3778nightνυκτὶnuktiG3571,for it is writtenγέγραπταιgegraptaiG1125: ‘I will strikeπατάξωpataxōG3960the shepherdποιμένα,poimenaG4166,and the sheepπρόβαταprobataG4263of the flockποίμνης.poimnēsG4167will bescatteredδιασκορπισθήσονταιdiaskorpisthēsontaiG1287.’

32But afterμετὰmetaG3326I have been raisedἐγερθῆναίegerthēnaiG1453,I will goπροάξωproaxōG4254aheadG4254of you to GalileeΓαλιλαίαν.¶GalilaianG1056.”

33But PeterΠέτροςPetrosG4074repliedἈποκριθεὶςApokritheisG611 G3004to Him, “EvenifεἰeiG1487they allπάντεςpantesG3956fallσκανδαλισθήσονταιskandalisthēsontaiG4624awayσκανδαλισθήσομαι.¶skandalisthēsomaiG4624becauseἐνenG1722of You, I will neverοὐδέποτεoudepoteG3763fallG4624awayG4624!”

41KeepG1127watchingγρηγορεῖτεgrēgoreiteG1127and prayingπροσεύχεσθεproseuchestheG4336,soG2443thatG2443you do not comeG1525intoG1525temptationπειρασμόν.peirasmonG3986;the spiritπνεῦμαpneumaG4151iswillingπρόθυμονprothumonG4289,but the fleshσὰρξsarxG4561is weakἀσθενής.¶asthenēsG772.”

44And He leftἀφεὶςapheisG863them againG3825,and wentG565awayἀπελθὼνapelthōnG565and prayedπροσηύξατοprosēuxatoG4336a thirdτρίτουtritouG5154timeG5154,sayingG3004the sameG846thingλόγονlogonG3056onceG3825moreG3825.

46GetG1453upG1453,let’s goἄγωμεν·agōmenG71;beholdἰδοὺidouG2400,the one who is betrayingπαραδιδούςparadidousG3860Me is nearἤγγικενēngikenG1448!”

47And while He was stillἔτιetiG2089speakingλαλοῦντοςlalountosG2980,beholdἰδοὺidouG2400,JudasἸούδαςIoudasG2455,oneεἷςheisG1520of the twelveδώδεκαdōdekaG1427,cameἦλθεν,ēlthenG2064accompaniedG3326 G846by a largeπολὺςpolusG4183crowdὄχλοςochlosG3793with swordsμαχαιρῶνmachairōnG3162and clubsξύλωνxulōnG3586, who camefrom the chiefἀρχιερέωνarchiereōnG749priestsG749and eldersπρεσβυτέρωνpresbuterōnG4245of the peopleλαοῦ.laouG2992.

48NowδὲdeG1161he who was betrayingπαραδιδοὺςparadidousG3860Him gaveἔδωκενedōkenG1325them a signσημεῖονsēmeionG4592previously,sayingλέγων·legōnG3004, “Whomeverὃν ἂνhon anG3739 G302I kissφιλήσω,philēsōG5368, He is the one;arrestκρατήσατεkratēsateG2902Him.”

49And immediatelyεὐθέωςeutheōsG2112JudaswentG4334upG4334toG4334JesusἸησοῦIēsouG2424and saidG3004, “GreetingsχαῖρεchaireG5463,Rabbiῥαββί,rhabbiG4461!”and kissedκατεφίλησενkatephilēsenG2705Him.

50But JesusἸησοῦςIēsousG2424saidG3004to him, “Friendἑταῖρε,hetaireG2083, dowhatὃhoG3739you haveG3918comeπάρει.pareiG3918for.”ThenτότεtoteG5119they cameπροσελθόντεςproselthontesG4334and laidἐπέβαλονepebalonG1911handsχεῖραςcheirasG5495on JesusἸησοῦνIēsounG2424and arrestedἐκράτησανekratēsanG2902Him.

51And beholdἰδοὺidouG2400,oneεἷςheisG1520of thoseG3588whoG3588were with JesusἸησοῦIēsouG2424reachedἐκτείναςekteinasG1614and drewἀπέσπασενapespasenG645hisswordμάχαιρανmachairanG3162,and struckπατάξαςpataxasG3960theslaveδοῦλονdoulonG1401of the highἀρχιερέωςarchiereōsG749priestG749andcutἀφεῖλενapheilenG851offG851his earὠτίον.¶ōtionG5621.

63ButJesusἸησοῦςIēsousG2424keptG4623silentἐσιώπα.esiōpaG4623.And the highἀρχιερεὺςarchiereusG749priestG749saidG3004to Him, “IplaceG1844You underG1844oathG1844bythe livingζῶντοςzōntosG2198GodθεοῦtheouG2316,to tellG3004us whetherεἰeiG1487You are theChristχριστὸςchristosG5547,the SonυἱὸςhuiosG5207of Godθεοῦ.theouG2316.”
