2to whomאֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834the wordדְבַר־de.var-H1697of the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068cameהָיָ֤הha.YahH1961in the daysבִּימֵ֛יbi.MeiH3117ofJosiahיֹאשִׁיָּ֥הוּyo.shi.Ya.huH2977the sonבֶן־ven-H1121ofAmonאָמ֖וֹן'a.MonH526,kingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Judahיְהוּדָ֑הye.hu.DahH3063, in thethirteenthבִּשְׁלֹשׁ־ עֶשְׂרֵ֥הbish.losh- 'es.RehH7969 H6240yearשָׁנָ֖הsha.NahH8141of his reignלְמָלְכֽוֹ׃le.ma.le.KhoH4427.

3It cameוַיְהִ֗יvay.HiH1961also in the daysבִּימֵ֨יbi.MeiH3117ofJehoiakimיְהוֹיָקִ֤יםye.ho.ya.KimH3079the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Josiahיֹאשִׁיָּ֙הוּ֙yo.shi.Ya.huH2977,kingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Judahיְהוּדָ֔הye.hu.DahH3063,untilעַד־'ad-H5704the endתֹּם֙tomH8552of the eleventhעַשְׁתֵּ֣י עֶשְׂרֵ֣ה'ash.Tei 'es.RehH6249 H6240yearשָׁנָ֔הsha.NahH8141ofZedekiahלְצִדְקִיָּ֥הוּle.tzid.ki.Ya.huH6667the sonבֶן־ven-H1121of Josiahיֹאשִׁיָּ֖הוּyo.shi.Ya.huH2977,kingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Judahיְהוּדָ֑הye.hu.DahH3063,untilעַד־'ad-H5704the exileגְּל֥וֹתge.LotH1540of Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִַ֖םye.ru.sha.LimH3389in the fifthהַחֲמִישִֽׁי׃ סha.cha.mi.ShiH2549monthבַּחֹ֥דֶשׁba.Cho.deshH2320.

4Now the wordדְבַר־de.var-H1697of the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068cameוַיְהִ֥יvay.HiH1961to me, sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

5“Beforeבְּטֶ֨רֶםbe.Te.remH2962Iformedאֶצָּרְךָ֤'e.tzor.khaH3335you in the wombבַבֶּ֙טֶן֙va.Be.tenH990I knewיְדַעְתִּ֔יךָye.da'.Ti.khaH3045you, Andbeforeוּבְטֶ֛רֶםu.ve.Te.remH2962you were bornתֵּצֵ֥א מֵרֶ֖חֶםte.Tze' me.Re.chemH3318 H7358I consecratedהִקְדַּשְׁתִּ֑יךָhik.dash.Ti.chaH6942you; I haveappointedנְתַתִּֽיךָ׃ne.ta.Ti.khaH5414you as a prophetנָבִ֥יאna.Vi'H5030to the nationsלַגּוֹיִ֖םla.go.YimH1471.”

6ThenI saidוָאֹמַ֗רva.'o.MarH559, “Ohאֲהָהּ֙'a.HahH162,Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136GodH3068!Beholdהִנֵּ֥הhi.NehH2009,I do not knowיָדַ֖עְתִּיya.Da'.tiH3045how to speakדַּבֵּ֑רda.BerH1696,Becauseכִּי־ki-H3588I am a youthנַ֖עַרNa.'arH5288.”

7But the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to me, “Do not sayתֹּאמַ֖רto.MarH559, ‘I am a youthנַ֣עַרNa.'arH5288,’Becauseכִּ֠יkiH3588everywhereעַֽל־ כָּל־'al- kol-H5921 H3605 H834I sendאֶֽשְׁלָחֲךָ֙'esh.la.cha.KhaH7971you, you shall goתֵּלֵ֔ךְte.LekhH1980, Andallכָּל־kol-H3605that I commandאֲצַוְּךָ֖'a.tza.ve.KhaH6680you, you shall speakתְּדַבֵּֽר׃te.da.BerH1696.

8Do not beH3372afraidתִּירָ֖אti.Ra'H3372of them, ForI am with you to saveלְהַצִּלֶ֖ךָle.ha.tzi.Le.khaH5337you,” declaresנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

9Then the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068stretchedוַיִּשְׁלַ֤חvai.yish.LachH7971outH7971His handיָד֔וֹya.DoH3027andtouchedוַיַּגַּ֖עvai.ya.Ga'H5060my mouthפִּ֑יPiH6310,and the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to me, “Beholdהִנֵּ֛הhi.NehH2009, I haveputנָתַ֥תִּיna.Ta.tiH5414My wordsדְבָרַ֖יde.va.RaiH1697in your mouthבְּפִֽיךָ׃be.Fi.khaH6310.

10Seeרְאֵ֞הre.'EhH7200,I have appointedהִפְקַדְתִּ֣יךָ׀hif.kad.Ti.chaH6485you thisהַזֶּ֗הha.ZehH2088dayהַיּ֣וֹםhai.YomH3117overעַל־'al-H5921the nationsהַגּוֹיִם֙ha.go.YimH1471and overוְעַל־ve.'al-H5921the kingdomsהַמַּמְלָכ֔וֹתha.mam.la.KhotH4467,To rootH5428outH5428and to tearH5422downH5422,To destroyוּלְהַאֲבִ֣ידu.le.ha.'a.VidH6and to overthrowוְלַהֲר֑וֹסve.la.ha.RosH2040,To buildלִבְנ֖וֹתliv.NotH1129and to plantוְלִנְטֽוֹעַ׃ פve.lin.To.a'H5193.”

11And the wordדְבַר־de.var-H1697of the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068cameוַיְהִ֤יvay.HiH1961to me, sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559, “Whatמָה־mah-H4100do you seeרֹאֶ֖הro.'EhH7200,Jeremiahיִרְמְיָ֑הוּyir.me.Ya.huH3414?”And I saidוָאֹמַ֕רva.'o.MarH559, “I seeרֹאֶֽה׃ro.'EhH7200a branchמַקֵּ֥לma.KelH4731of analmondשָׁקֵ֖דsha.KedH8247treeH8247.”

12Then the Lordיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֧אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to me, “You have seenלִרְא֑וֹתlir.'otH7200wellהֵיטַ֣בְתָּhei.Tav.taH3190, for I amwatchingשֹׁקֵ֥דsho.KedH8245overעַל־'al-H5921My wordדְּבָרִ֖יde.va.RiH1697to performלַעֲשֹׂתֽוֹ׃ פla.'a.so.ToH6213it.”

13And the wordדְבַר־de.var-H1697of the Lordיְהוָ֤ה׀Yah.wehH3068cameוַיְהִ֨יvay.HiH1961to me a secondשֵׁנִ֣יתshe.NitH8145timeH8145,sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559, “Whatמָ֥הmahH4100do you seeרֹאֶ֑הro.'EhH7200?”And I saidוָאֹמַ֗רva.'o.MarH559, “I seeרֹאֶ֔הro.'EhH7200a boilingנָפ֙וּחַ֙na.Fu.achH5301potסִ֤ירsirH5518,facingH6440away from the northצָפֽוֹנָה׃tza.Fo.nahH6828.”

14Then the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to me, “Out of the northמִצָּפוֹן֙mi.tza.fOnH6828the evilH7463will be unleashedתִּפָּתַ֣חti.pa.TachH6605on allכָּל־kol-H3605the inhabitantsיֹשְׁבֵ֖יyo.she.VeiH3427of the landהָאָֽרֶץ׃ha.'A.retzH776.

15For, beholdH2009,I am callingקֹרֵ֗אko.Re'H7121allלְכָֽל־le.kholH3605the familiesמִשְׁפְּח֛וֹתmish.pe.ChotH4940of the kingdomsמַמְלְכ֥וֹתmam.le.KhotH4467of the northצָפ֖וֹנָהtza.Fo.nahH6828,”declaresנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068; “and they will comeוּבָ֡אוּu.Va.'uH935andplaceוְֽנָתְנוּ֩ve.na.te.NuH5414,eachH376oneאִ֨ישׁ'ishH376of them,his throneכִּסְא֜וֹkis.'OH3678at the entranceפֶּ֣תַח׀Pe.tachH6607of the gatesשַׁעֲרֵ֣יsha.'a.ReiH8179of Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִַ֗םye.ru.sha.LimH3389,and againstוְעַ֤לve.'AlH5921allכָּל־kol-H3605its wallsחוֹמֹתֶ֙יהָ֙cho.mo.Tei.haH2346aroundסָבִ֔יבsa.VivH5439,and againstוְעַ֖לve.'AlH5921allכָּל־kol-H3605thecitiesעָרֵ֥י'a.ReiH5892of Judahיְהוּדָֽה׃ye.hu.DahH3063.

16And I willpronounceוְדִבַּרְתִּ֤יve.di.bar.TiH1696My judgmentsמִשְׁפָּטַי֙mish.pa.TaiH4941againstאוֹתָ֔ם'o.TamH854them concerningעַ֖ל'alH5921allכָּל־kol-H3605their wickednessH7463,sinceאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834they haveabandonedעֲזָב֗וּנִי'a.za.Vu.niH5800Me and haveofferedH6999sacrificesH6999to otherאֲחֵרִ֔ים'a.che.RimH312godsלֵאלֹהִ֣יםle.lo.HimH430,and worshipedH2331theworksלְמַעֲשֵׂ֥יle.ma.'a.SeiH4639of their own handsיְדֵיהֶֽם׃ye.dei.HemH3027.

17Now,beltH247your garmentaroundH247your waistמָתְנֶ֔יךָma.te.Nei.khaH4975and ariseוְקַמְתָּ֙ve.kam.TaH6965,and speakוְדִבַּרְתָּ֣ve.di.bar.TaH1696to them allכָּל־kol-H3605that I commandאֲצַוֶּ֑ךָּ'a.tza.Ve.kaH6680you.Do not be dismayedתֵּחַת֙te.ChatH2865beforeמִפְּנֵיהֶ֔םmi.pe.nei.HemH4480 H6440them, orפֶּֽן־pen-H6435I will make you dismayedאֲחִתְּךָ֖'a.chi.te.KhaH2865beforeלִפְנֵיהֶֽם׃lif.nei.HemH6440them.

18Now beholdהִנֵּ֧הhi.NehH2009,I have madeנְתַתִּ֣יךָne.ta.Ti.khaH5414you todayהַיּ֗וֹםhai.YomH3117like a fortifiedמִבְצָ֜רmiv.TzarH4013cityלְעִ֨ירle.'IrH5892and like a pillarוּלְעַמּ֥וּדu.le.'a.MudH5982of ironבַּרְזֶ֛לbar.ZelH1270and wallsוּלְחֹמ֥וֹתu.le.cho.MotH2346of bronzeנְחֹ֖שֶׁתne.Cho.shetH5178againstעַל־'al-H5921the wholeכָּל־kol-H3605landהָאָ֑רֶץha.'A.retzH776,to the kingsלְמַלְכֵ֤יle.mal.KheiH4428of Judahיְהוּדָה֙ye.hu.DahH3063,to its leadersלְשָׂרֶ֔יהָle.sa.Rei.haH8269,to its priestsלְכֹהֲנֶ֖יהָle.kho.ha.Nei.haH3548,and to the peopleוּלְעַ֥םu.le.'AmH5971of the landהָאָֽרֶץ׃ha.'A.retzH776.

19And they will fightוְנִלְחֲמ֥וּve.nil.cha.MuH3898againstאֵלֶ֖יךָ'e.Lei.khaH413you but they will not overcomeי֣וּכְלוּYu.khe.luH3201you, forI am with you to saveלְהַצִּילֶֽךָ׃ פle.ha.tzi.Le.khaH5337you,” declaresנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068.
