1 And he began G757 to say G2980 to them in parables G3850 , A man ἄνθρωπος anthrōpos G444 planted ἐφύτευσεν ephuteusen G5452 a vineyard ἀμπελῶνα ampelōna G290 , and made a fence round [ it ] and dug ὤρυξεν ōruxen G3736 a wine-vat, and built G3618 a tower πύργον purgon G4444 , and let it out to husbandmen, and left the country. 2 And he sent G649 a bondman to the husbandmen at the season G2540 , that he might receive λάβῃ labē G2983 from the husbandmen of the fruit καρπῶν karpōn G2590 of the vineyard ἀμπελῶνος. ampelōnos G290 . 4 And again πάλιν palin G3825 he sent G649 to them another bondman; and [ at ] him they [threw stones, and ] struck [ him ] on the head , and sent G649 [ him ] away G649 with insult. 5 And [ again ] he sent G649 another , and him they killed ἀπέκτειναν, apekteinan G615 ; and many πολλοὺς pollous G4183 others G243 , beating δέροντες, derontes G1194 some and killing ἀποκτέννοντες. apoktennontes G615 some . 6 Having yet ἔτι eti G2089 therefore one ἕνα hena G1520 beloved ἀγαπητόν agapēton G27 son υἱὸν huion G5207 , he sent G649 also him to them the last ἔσχατον eschaton G2078 , saying λέγων legōn G3004 , They will have respect ἐντραπήσονται entrapēsontai G1788 for my son υἱόν huion G5207 . 7 But those husbandmen said G3004 to one another , This is G1510 the heir κληρονόμος· klēronomos G2818 : come δεῦτε deute G1205 , let us kill ἀποκτείνωμεν apokteinōmen G615 him and the inheritance κληρονομία. klēronomia G2817 will be G1510 ours . 8 And they took G2983 him and killed ἀπέκτειναν apekteinan G615 him , and cast ἐξέβαλον exebalon G1544 him forth out of the vineyard ἀμπελῶνος. ampelōnos G290 . 9 What therefore shall the lord G2962 of the vineyard ἀμπελῶνος; ampelōnos G290 do ? He will come ἐλεύσεται eleusetai G2064 and destroy ἀπολέσει apolesei G622 the husbandmen, and will give δώσει dōsei G1325 the vineyard ἀμπελῶνα ampelōna G290 to others ἄλλοις. allois G243 . 10 Have ye not even οὐδὲ oude G3761 read ἀνέγνωτε· anegnōte G314 this scripture γραφὴν graphēn G1124 , The stone λίθον lithon G3037 which they that builded rejected ἀπεδοκίμασαν apedokimasan G593 , this has become ἐγενήθη egenēthē G1096 the corner-stone: 12 And they sought ἐζήτουν ezētoun G2212 to lay hold κρατῆσαι kratēsai G2902 of him , and they feared ἐφοβήθησαν ephobēthēsan G5399 the crowd ὄχλον· ochlon G3793 ; for they knew G1097 that he had spoken the parable παραβολὴν parabolēn G3850 of them . But he knowing their hypocrisy ὑπόκρισιν hupokrisin G5272 said G3004 unto them , Why τί ti G5101 tempt G3985 ye me ?
