Mark 12

1And he beganG757 to sayG2980 to them in parablesG3850, A manG444 plantedG5452 a vineyardG290, and made a fence round [it] and dugG3736 a wine-vat, and builtG3618 a towerG4444, and let it out to husbandmen, and left the country. 2And he sentG649 a bondman to the husbandmen at the seasonG2540, that he might receiveG2983 from the husbandmen of the fruitG2590 of the vineyardG290. 3But they tookG2983 him, and beatG1194 [him], and sentG649 [him] awayG649 emptyG2756. 4And againG3825 he sentG649 to them another bondman; and [at] him they [threw stones, and] struck [him] on the head, and sentG649 [him] awayG649 with insult. 5And [again] he sentG649 another, and him they killedG615; and manyG4183 othersG243, beatingG1194 some and killingG615 some. 6Having yetG2089 therefore oneG1520 belovedG27 sonG5207, he sentG649 also him to them the lastG2078, sayingG3004, They will have respectG1788 for my sonG5207. 7But those husbandmen saidG3004 to one another, This isG1510 the heirG2818: comeG1205, let us killG615 him and the inheritanceG2817 will beG1510 ours. 8And they tookG2983 him and killedG615 him, and castG1544 him forth out of the vineyardG290. 9What therefore shall the lordG2962 of the vineyardG290 do? He will comeG2064 and destroyG622 the husbandmen, and will giveG1325 the vineyardG290 to othersG243. 10Have ye not evenG3761 readG314 this scriptureG1124, The stoneG3037 which they that builded rejectedG593, this has becomeG1096 the corner-stone: 11this isG1510 of [the] LordG2962, and it isG1510 wonderful in our eyesG3788? 12And they soughtG2212 to lay holdG2902 of him, and they fearedG5399 the crowdG3793; for they knewG1097 that he had spoken the parableG3850 of them. And they leftG863 him and wentG565 awayG565. 13And they sendG649 to him certainG5100 of the PhariseesG5330 and of the HerodiansG2265, that they might catch him in speaking. 14And they comeG2064 and sayG3004 to him, TeacherG1320, we know that thou art trueG227, and carest not for any oneG3762; for thou regardest not men's person, but teachest the wayG3598 of 1GodG2316 with truthG225: IsG1510 it lawfulG1832 to giveG1325 tribute to CaesarG2541 or not? 15Should we give, or should we not give? But he knowing their hypocrisyG5272 saidG3004 unto them, WhyG5101 temptG3985 ye me? BringG5342 me a denariusG1220 that I may seeG3708 [it]. 16And they broughtG5342 [it]. And he saysG3004 to them, Whose [is] this imageG1504 and superscription? And they saidG3004 to him, Caesar's. 17And JesusG2424 answering saidG3004 to them, PayG591 what is Caesar's to CaesarG2541, and what is 2God's to 3GodG2316. And they wonderedG2296 at him. 18And SadduceesG4523 comeG2064 to him, that sayG3004 there isG1510 no resurrectionG386; and they demanded of him sayingG3004, 19TeacherG1320, MosesG3475 wroteG1125 to us that if any one's brotherG80 dieG599, and leaveG863 a wifeG1135 behind, and leaveG863 no childrenG5043, that his brotherG80 shall takeG2983 his wifeG1135, and raiseG1817 up seedG4690 to his brotherG80. 20There wereG1510 sevenG2033 brethren; and the firstG4413 tookG2983 a wifeG1135, and dyingG599 did not leaveG863 seedG4690; 21and the secondG1208 tookG2983 her and diedG599, and neither did he leaveG2641 seedG4690; and the thirdG5154 likewiseG5615. 22And the sevenG2033 [took her and] did not leaveG863 seedG4690. LastG2078 of all the womanG1135 alsoG2532 diedG599. 23In the resurrectionG386, whenG3752 they shall riseG450 againG450, of which of them shall she beG1510 wifeG1135, for the sevenG2033 had her as wifeG1135? 24And JesusG2424 answering saidG5346 to them, Do not ye therefore err, not knowing the scripturesG1124, nor the powerG1411 of 4GodG2316? 25For whenG3752 they riseG450 from among [the] deadG3498 they neither marryG1060, nor areG1510 given in marriage, but areG1510 as angelsG32 [who areG1510] in the heavensG3772. 26But concerningG4012 the deadG3498 that they riseG1453, have ye not readG314 in the bookG976 of MosesG3475, in [the section of] the bushG942, howG4459 5GodG2316 spokeG3004 to him, sayingG3004, I [am] the 6GodG2316 of AbrahamG11, and the 7GodG2316 of IsaacG2464, and the 8GodG2316 of JacobG2384? 27He isG1510 not the 9GodG2316 of [the] deadG3498, but of [the] livingG2198. Ye therefore greatly err. 28And oneG1520 of the scribesG1122 who had come up, and had heardG191 them reasoning together, perceiving that he had answeredG611 them wellG2573, demanded of him, Which isG1510 [the] firstG4413 commandmentG1785 of all? 29And JesusG2424 answeredG611 him, [The] firstG4413 commandment of all [isG1510], HearG191, IsraelG2474: the LordG2962 our 10GodG2316 isG1510 oneG1520 LordG2962; 30and thou shalt loveG25 the LordG2962 thy 11GodG2316 with all thy heartG2588, and with all thy soulG5590, and with all thine understandingG1271, and with all thy strengthG2479. This is [the] first commandment. 31And a secondG1208 like it [isG1510] this: Thou shalt loveG25 thy neighbour as thyself. There isG1510 not another commandmentG1785 greaterG3173 than these. 32And the scribeG1122 saidG3004 to him, Right, teacherG1320; thou hast spoken according to [the] truthG225. For he isG1510 oneG1520, and there isG1510 none otherG243 besides him; 33and to loveG25 him with all the heartG2588, and with all the intelligence, and with all the soul, and with all the strengthG2479, and to loveG25 one's neighbour as one's self, isG1510 more than all the burnt-offerings and sacrificesG2378. 34And JesusG2424, seeingG3708 that he had answeredG611 intelligently, saidG3004 to him, Thou art not farG3112 from the kingdomG932 of 12GodG2316. And no oneG3762 daredG5111 questionG1905 him any more. 35And JesusG2424 answeringG611 saidG3004 [as he wasG1510] teachingG1321 in the templeG2411, HowG4459 do the scribesG1122 sayG3004 that the ChristG5547 isG1510 sonG5207 of DavidG1138? 36[for] DavidG1138 himself saidG3004 [speakingG3004] in the HolyG40 SpiritG4151, The LordG2962 saidG3004 to my LordG2962, SitG2521 on my rightG1188 handG1188 until I putG5087 thine enemiesG2190 [as] footstoolG5286 of thy feetG4228. 37DavidG1138 himself [therefore] calls him LordG2962, and whence isG1510 he his sonG5207? And the mass of the peopleG3793 heardG191 him gladlyG2234. 38And he saidG3004 to them in his doctrine, BewareG991 of the scribesG1122, who like to walkG4043 about in long robesG4749, and salutations in the marketplaces, 39and first seatsG4410 in the synagoguesG4864, and first placesG4411 at suppers; 40who devourG2719 the housesG3614 of widowsG5503, and as a pretextG4392 make long prayers. These shall receiveG2983 a severer judgmentG2917. 41And Jesus, having satG2523 downG2523 oppositeG2713 the treasuryG1049, sawG2334 howG4459 the crowdG3793 was castingG906 moneyG5475 into the treasuryG1049; and manyG4183 richG4145 castG906 in muchG4183. 42And a poorG4434 widowG5503 cameG2064 and castG906 in twoG1417 mites, which isG1510 a farthing. 43And having called his disciplesG3101 to [him] he saidG3004 to them, Verily I sayG3004 unto you, This poorG4434 widowG5503 has castG906 in moreG4183 than all who have castG906 into the treasuryG1049: 44for all have castG906 in of that which they had in abundanceG4052, but she of her destitution has castG906 in all that she had, the wholeG3650 of her living.
