Matthew 24
Darby Bible
1And JesusG2424 wentG1831 forthG1831 and wentG1831 awayG1831 from the temple, and his disciplesG3101 cameG4334 to [him] to point out to him the buildingsG3619 of the temple. 2And he answeringG611 saidG3004 to them, Do ye not seeG991 all these thingsG3778? Verily I sayG3004 to you, Not a stoneG3037 shall be leftG863 hereG5602 upon a stoneG3037 which shall not be thrown downG2647. 3And as he wasG1510 sittingG2521 upon the mountG3735 of Olives the disciplesG3101 cameG4334 to him privately, sayingG3004, TellG3004 us, when shall these thingsG3778 beG1510, and what isG1510 the signG4592 of thy coming and [the] completion of the ageG165? 4And JesusG2424 answeringG611 saidG3004 to them, SeeG991 that no oneG5100 misleadG4105 you. 5For manyG4183 shall comeG2064 in my nameG3686, sayingG3004, I amG1510 the ChristG5547, and they shall misleadG4105 manyG4183. 6But ye will hearG191 of warsG4171 and rumours of warsG4171. SeeG3708 that ye beG1510 not disturbed; for all [these thingsG3195] must take placeG1096, but it isG1510 not yet the endG5056. 7For nationG1484 shall riseG1453 up against nationG1484, and kingdomG932 against kingdomG932; and there shall beG1510 faminesG3042 and pestilences, and earthquakesG4578 in divers placesG5117. 8But all these [are the] beginning of throes. 9Then shall they deliverG3860 you up to tribulationG2347, and shall killG615 you; and ye will beG1510 hatedG3404 of all the nationsG1484 for my name's sakeG1223. 10And then will manyG4183 be offendedG4624, and will deliverG3860 oneG240 another up, and hateG3404 oneG240 another; 11and manyG4183 falseG5578 prophetsG5578 shall ariseG1453 and shall misleadG4105 manyG4183; 12and because lawlessnessG458 shall prevail, the loveG26 of the most shall grow cold; 13but he that has enduredG5278 to the endG5056, he shall be savedG4982. 14And these glad tidings of the kingdomG932 shall be preachedG2784 in the wholeG3650 habitable earthG3625, for a witness to all the nationsG1484, and then shall comeG2240 the endG5056. 15WhenG3752 thereforeG3767 ye shall seeG3708 the abominationG946 of desolationG2050, which is spoken of through Daniel the prophetG4396, standingG2476 in [what is a] holyG40 placeG5117, (he that readsG314 let him understandG3539,) 16thenG5119 let those who are in Judaea fleeG5343 to the mountainsG3735; 17let not him that is on the houseG3614 comeG2597 down to takeG142 the things out of his houseG3614; 18and let not him that is in the fieldG68 turnG1994 backG1994 to takeG142 his garmentG2440. 19But woeG3759 to those that are with child, and those that give suck in those daysG2250. 20But prayG4336 that your flight may not be in winterG5494 time nor on sabbathG4521: 21for thenG5119 shall there beG1510 greatG3173 tribulationG2347, suchG3634 as has not beenG1510 from [the] beginning of [the] worldG2889 until nowG3568, nor ever shall beG1510; 22and if those daysG2250 had not been cut short, no fleshG4561 had been savedG4982; but on accountG1223 of the electG1588 those daysG2250 shall be cut short. 23ThenG5119 if any oneG5100 sayG3004 to you, BeholdG2400, hereG5602 is the ChristG5547, or hereG5602, believeG4100 [it] not. 24For there shall ariseG1453 falseG5578 ChristsG5580, and falseG5578 prophetsG5578, and shall giveG1325 greatG3173 signsG4592 and wondersG5059, so as to misleadG4105, if possibleG1415, evenG2532 the electG1588. 25BeholdG2400, I have told you beforehand. 26If thereforeG3767 they sayG3004 to you, BeholdG2400, he isG1510 in the desert, goG1831 not forthG1831; beholdG2400, [he isG1510] in the innerG5009 chambers, do not believeG4100 [it]. 27For as the lightningG796 goesG1831 forthG1831 from the eastG395 and shinesG5316 to the westG1424, so shall beG1510 the coming of the SonG5207 of manG444. 28[For] whereverG3699 the carcase isG1510, there will beG1510 gatheredG4863 the eagles. 29But immediatelyG2112 after the tribulationG2347 of those daysG2250 the sunG2246 shall be darkenedG4654, and the moonG4582 not giveG1325 her lightG5338, and the starsG792 shall fallG4098 from heavenG3772, and the powersG1411 of the heavensG3772 shall be shakenG4531. 30And then shall appearG5316 the signG4592 of the SonG5207 of manG444 in heavenG3772; and then shall all the tribesG5443 of the landG1093 lament, and they shall seeG3708 the SonG5207 of manG444 comingG2064 on the cloudsG3507 of heavenG3772 with powerG1411 and greatG4183 gloryG1391. 31And he shall sendG649 his angelsG32 with a greatG3173 sound of trumpetG4536, and they shall gatherG1996 togetherG1996 his electG1588 from the fourG5064 windsG417, from [the oneG3588] extremity of [the] heavensG3772 to [the other] extremity of them. 32But learnG3129 the parableG3850 from the fig-tree: WhenG3752 alreadyG2235 its branchG2798 becomesG1096 tenderG527 and produces leaves, ye knowG1097 that the summerG2330 is near. 33ThusG3779 alsoG2532 ye, whenG3752 ye seeG3708 all these thingsG3778, knowG1097 that it isG1510 near, at the doorsG2374. 34Verily I sayG3004 to you, This generationG1074 will not have passedG3928 awayG3928 until all these thingsG3778 shall have taken placeG1096. 35The heavenG3772 and the earthG1093 shall passG3928 awayG3928, but my wordsG3056 shall in no wise passG3928 awayG3928. 36But of that dayG2250 and hourG5610 no oneG3762 knows, not evenG2532 the angelsG32 of the heavensG3772, but [my] FatherG3962 aloneG3441. 37But as the daysG2250 of Noe, soG3779 alsoG1161 shall beG1510 the coming of the SonG5207 of manG444. 38For as they wereG1510 in the daysG2250 which wereG1510 before the floodG2627, eatingG5176 and drinkingG4095, marryingG1060 and giving in marriage, until the dayG2250 on which Noe enteredG1525 into the arkG2787, 39and they knewG1097 not till the floodG2627 cameG2064 and tookG142 all awayG142; thusG3779 alsoG2532 shall beG1510 the comingG2064 of the SonG5207 of manG444. 40Then twoG1417 shall beG1510 in the fieldG68, oneG1520 isG1510 takenG3880 and oneG1520 isG1510 leftG863; 41twoG1417 [women] grindingG229 at the mill, oneG1520 is takenG3880 and oneG1520 is leftG863. 42WatchG1127 thereforeG3767, for ye know not in what hour your LordG2962 comesG2064. 43But knowG1097 this, that if the master of the houseG3614 had knownG1097 in what watchG1127 the thiefG2812 was comingG2064, he would have watched and not have suffered his houseG3614 to be dug through [into]. 44Wherefore ye alsoG2532, be ye readyG2092, for in that hourG5610 that ye thinkG1380 not the SonG5207 of manG444 comesG2064. 45Who then isG1510 the faithfulG4103 and prudent bondman whom his lordG2962 has setG2525 over his household, to giveG1325 them foodG5160 in seasonG2540? 46Blessed is that bondman whom his lordG2962 on comingG2064 shall findG2147 doing thusG3779. 47Verily I sayG3004 unto you, that he will setG2525 him over all his substance. 48But if that evilG2556 bondman should sayG3004 in his heartG2588, My lordG2962 delays to come, 49and beginG757 to beatG5180 his fellow-bondmen, and eatG2068 and drinkG4095 with the drunken; 50the lordG2962 of that bondman shall comeG2240 in a dayG2250 when he does not expectG4328 it, and in an hourG5610 he knowsG1097 not of, 51and shall cutG1371 him in two and appoint his portionG3313 with the hypocritesG5273: there shall beG1510 the weepingG2805 and the gnashingG1030 of teethG3599.
