Matthew 7
Darby Bible
1JudgeG2919 not, that ye may not be judgedG2919; 2for with what judgmentG2917 ye judgeG2919, ye shall be judgedG2919; and with what measureG3354 ye mete, it shall be measuredG3354 to you. 3But whyG5101 lookest thou on the mote that is in the eyeG3788 of thy brotherG80, but observest not the beam that is in thine eyeG3788? 4Or howG4459 wilt thou sayG3004 to thy brotherG80, AllowG863 [me], I will castG1544 out the mote from thine eyeG3788; and beholdG2400, the beam is in thine eyeG3788? 5HypocriteG5273, castG1544 out firstG4413 the beam out of thine eyeG3788, and then thou wilt seeG1227 clearlyG1227 to castG1544 out the mote out of the eyeG3788 of thy brotherG80. 6GiveG1325 not that which is holyG40 to the dogsG2965, nor castG906 your pearlsG3135 before the swine, lestG3361 they trampleG2662 them with their feetG4228, and turningG4762 round rend you. 7AskG154, and it shall be givenG1325 to you. SeekG2212, and ye shall findG2147. KnockG2925, and it shall be openedG455 to you. 8For every oneG3588 that asksG154 receivesG2983; and he that seeksG2212 findsG2147; and to him that knocksG2925 it shall be openedG455. 9Or what manG444 isG1510 there of you who, if his sonG5207 shall askG154 of him a loafG740 of breadG740, will giveG1929 him a stoneG3037; 10and if he askG154 a fishG2486, will giveG1929 him a serpentG3789? 11If thereforeG3767 ye, beingG1510 wickedG4190, know [howG4214] to giveG1325 goodG18 giftsG1390 to your childrenG5043, howG4214 muchG4214 ratherG3123 shall your FatherG3962 who isG1510 in the heavensG3772 giveG1325 goodG18 thingsG18 to them that askG154 of him? 12ThereforeG3767 all thingsG3778 whatever ye desireG2309 that menG444 should do to you, thus do ye alsoG2532 do to them; for this isG1510 the lawG3551 and the prophetsG4396. 13EnterG1525 in through the narrowG4728 gateG4439, for wide the gateG4439 and broad the wayG3598 that leadsG520 to destructionG684, and manyG4183 areG1510 they who enterG1525 in through it. 14For narrowG4728 the gateG4439 and straitened the wayG3598 that leadsG520 to lifeG2222, and they areG1510 fewG3641 who findG2147 it. 15But bewareG4337 of falseG5578 prophetsG5578, which comeG2064 to you in sheep's clothingG1742, but within areG1510 ravening wolvesG3074. 16By their fruitsG2590 ye shall knowG1921 them. Do [men] gatherG4816 a bunch of grapes from thornsG173, or from thistles figsG4810? 17So every goodG18 treeG1186 producesG4160 goodG18 fruitsG2590, but the worthless treeG1186 producesG4160 badG4190 fruitsG2590. 18A goodG18 treeG1186 cannot produceG4160 badG4190 fruitsG2590, nor a worthless treeG1186 produceG4160 goodG18 fruitsG2590. 19Every treeG1186 not producingG4160 goodG2570 fruitG2590 is cutG1581 downG1581 and castG906 into the fireG4442. 20By their fruitsG2590 thenG686 surely ye shall knowG1921 them. 21Not every oneG3588 who saysG3004 to me, LordG2962, LordG2962, shall enterG1525 into the kingdomG932 of the heavensG3772, but he that does the will of my FatherG3962 who is in the heavensG3772. 22ManyG4183 shall sayG3004 to me in that dayG2250, LordG2962, LordG2962, have we not prophesiedG4395 through thy nameG3686, and through thy nameG3686 castG1544 out demonsG1140, and through thy nameG3686 done manyG4183 works of powerG1411? 23and then will I avow unto them, I neverG3763 knewG1097 you. Depart from me, workers of lawlessnessG458. 24Whoever thereforeG3767 hearsG191 these my wordsG3056 and does them, I will liken him to a prudent manG435, who builtG3618 his houseG3614 upon the rockG4073; 25and the rainG1028 cameG2064 downG2597, and the streams cameG2064, and the windsG417 blewG4154 and fellG4098 upon that houseG3614, and it did not fallG4098, for it had been foundedG2311 upon the rockG4073. 26And every one who hearsG191 these my wordsG3056 and does not do them, he shall be likened to a foolishG3474 manG435, who builtG3618 his houseG3614 upon the sandG285; 27and the rainG1028 cameG2064 downG2597, and the streams cameG2064, and the windsG417 blewG4154 and beat upon that houseG3614, and it fellG4098, and its fallG4098 wasG1510 greatG3173. 28And it cameG1096 to passG1096, whenG3753 JesusG2424 had finishedG5055 these wordsG3056, the crowdsG3793 were astonishedG1605 at his doctrine, 29for he taughtG1321 them as having authorityG1849, and not as their scribesG1122.
