Darby Bible
1PaulG3972, bondman of JesusG2424 ChristG5547, [a] calledG2822 apostleG652, separatedG873 to 1God's glad tidings, 2(which he had before promised by his prophetsG4396 in holyG40 writings,) 3concerningG4012 his SonG5207 (comeG1096 of David's seedG4690 accordingG2596 to fleshG4561, 4marked out SonG5207 of 2GodG2316 in powerG1411, accordingG2596 to [the] SpiritG4151 of holinessG42, by resurrectionG386 of [the] deadG3498) JesusG2424 ChristG5547 our LordG2962; 5by whom we have receivedG2983 graceG5485 and apostleshipG651 in behalfG5228 of his nameG3686, for obedienceG5218 of faithG4102 among all the nationsG1484, 6among whom areG1510 ye alsoG2532 [the] calledG2822 of JesusG2424 ChristG5547: 7to all that areG1510 in RomeG4516, belovedG27 of 3GodG2316, calledG2822 saintsG40: GraceG5485 to you and peaceG1515 from 4GodG2316 our FatherG3962 and [our] LordG2962 JesusG2424 ChristG5547. 8FirstG4413, I thankG2168 my 5GodG2316 through JesusG2424 ChristG5547 for you all, that your faithG4102 is proclaimedG2605 in the wholeG3650 worldG2889. 9For 6GodG2316 isG1510 my witnessG3144, whom I serveG3000 in my spiritG4151 in the glad tidings of his SonG5207, howG5613 unceasinglyG89 I makeG4160 mentionG3417 of you, 10alwaysG3842 beseeching at my prayersG4335, if any way nowG2235 at least I may be prospered by the will of 7GodG2316 to comeG2064 to you. 11For I greatly desire to seeG3708 you, that I may impartG3330 to you some spiritualG4152 giftG5486 to establish you; 12that isG1510, to have mutual comfort among you, each by the faithG4102 [which isG1510] in the other, both yours and mineG1473. 13But I do not wishG2309 you to be ignorantG50, brethren, that I oftenG4178 proposed to comeG2064 to you, (and have been hinderedG2967 until the present time,) that I might have some fruitG2590 among you too, evenG2532 as among the otherG3062 nationsG1484 alsoG2532. 14I amG1510 a debtor both to GreeksG1672 and barbarians, both to wiseG4680 and unintelligent: 15so, as far as depends on me, am I ready to announce the glad tidings to you alsoG2532 who [are] in RomeG4516. 16For I amG1510 not ashamedG1870 of the glad tidings; for it isG1510 8God's powerG1411 to salvationG4991, to every oneG3588 that believesG4100, both to JewG2453 firstG4413 and to GreekG1672: 17for righteousnessG1343 of 9GodG2316 is revealedG601 therein, on the principle of faithG4102, to faithG4102: according as it is writtenG1125, But the just shall liveG2198 by faithG4102. 18For there is revealedG601 wrathG3709 of 10GodG2316 from heavenG3772 upon all impiety, and unrighteousnessG93 of menG444 holding the truthG225 in unrighteousnessG93. 19Because what isG1510 known of 11GodG2316 isG1510 manifestG5319 among them, for 12GodG2316 has manifestedG5319 [it] to them, 20— for from [the] world's creationG2937 the invisibleG517 things of him areG1510 perceived, beingG1510 apprehended by the mind through the things that areG1510 made, both his eternalG126 powerG1411 and divinity, — so as to render them inexcusable. 21Because, knowingG1097 13GodG2316, they glorifiedG1392 [him] not as 14GodG2316, neither were thankful; but fell into folly in their thoughtsG1261, and their heartG2588 without understandingG801 was darkenedG4654: 22professing themselves to beG1510 wiseG4680, they becameG3471 fools, 23and changedG236 the gloryG1391 of the incorruptible 15GodG2316 into [the] likenessG3667 of an imageG1504 of corruptible manG444 and of birdsG4071 and quadrupeds and reptiles. 24Wherefore 16GodG2316 gave them up [also] in the lustsG1939 of their heartsG2588 to uncleanness, to dishonour their bodiesG4983 between themselves: 25who changed the truthG225 of 17GodG2316 into falsehoodG5579, and honoured and servedG3000 the creature more than him who had created [it], who isG1510 blessed for ever. AmenG281. 26For this reason 18GodG2316 gave them up to vile lusts; for both their females changed the naturalG5446 use into that contraryG3844 to natureG5449; 27and in like manner the males alsoG2532, leavingG863 the naturalG5446 use of the femaleG2338, were inflamed in their lust towards oneG240 another; males with males working shameG808, and receivingG618 in themselves the recompense of their errorG4106 which was fit. 28And according as they did not think good to have 19GodG2316 in [their] knowledgeG1922, 20GodG2316 gave them up to a reprobate mindG3563 to practise unseemly things; 29being filledG4137 with all unrighteousnessG93, wickednessG4189, covetousnessG4124, maliceG2549; fullG3324 of envyG5355, murderG5408, strifeG2054, deceitG1388, evilG2549 dispositions; whisperers, 30back-biters, hateful to 21God, insolentG5197, proud, boasters, inventors of evilG2556 thingsG2556, disobedientG545 to parentsG1118, 31void of understandingG801, faithless, without natural affection, unmerciful; 32who knowing the righteousG1345 judgment of 22GodG2316, that they who do suchG5108 thingsG5108 areG1510 worthyG514 of deathG2288, not onlyG3440 practise them, but have fellow delight in those who do [them].
