Matthew 28
Darby Bible
1NowG1161 late on sabbathG4521, as it was the dusk of the next day after sabbathG4521, cameG2064 MaryG3137 of Magdala and the otherG243 MaryG3137 to lookG2334 at the sepulchre. 2And beholdG2400, there was a greatG3173 earthquakeG4578; for an angelG32 of [the] LordG2962, descendingG2597 out of heavenG3772, cameG4334 and rolledG617 awayG617 the stoneG3037 and satG2521 upon it. 3And his look wasG1510 as lightningG796, and his clothingG1742 whiteG3022 as snowG5510. 4And for fearG5401 of him the guardsG5083 trembled and becameG1096 as deadG3498 men. 5And the angelG32 answeringG611 saidG3004 to the womenG1135, FearG5399 not ye, for I know that ye seekG2212 JesusG2424 the crucifiedG4717 oneG3588. 6He isG1510 not hereG5602, for he isG1510 risenG1453, as he saidG3004. ComeG1205, seeG3708 the placeG5117 whereG3699 the Lord layG2749. 7And goG4198 quicklyG5035 and sayG3004 to his disciplesG3101 that he is risenG1453 from the deadG3498; and beholdG2400, he goesG4198 before you into GalileeG1056, there shall ye seeG3708 him. BeholdG2400, I have toldG3004 you. 8And goingG565 out quicklyG5035 from the tombG3419 with fearG5401 and greatG3173 joyG5479, they ranG5143 to bring his disciplesG3101 wordG518. 9And as they went to bring his disciples word, beholdG2400 alsoG2532, JesusG2424 met them, sayingG3004, HailG5463! And they comingG4334 up tookG2902 him by the feetG4228, and did him homage. 10Then JesusG2424 saysG3004 to them, FearG5399 not; goG5217, bring wordG518 to my brethren that they goG5217 into GalileeG1056, and there they shall seeG3708 me. 11And as they went, beholdG2400, some of the watchG3708 went into the cityG4172, and brought wordG518 to the chiefG749 priestsG749 of all that had taken placeG1096. 12And having assembled with the eldersG4245, and having takenG2983 counsel, they gaveG1325 a largeG2425 sum of moneyG694 to the soldiersG4757, 13sayingG3004, SayG3004 that his disciplesG3101 comingG2064 by nightG3571 stoleG2813 him [while] we [were] sleepingG2837. 14And if this should come to the hearingG191 of the governorG2232, we will persuadeG3982 him, and save you from all anxiety. 15And they tookG2983 the moneyG694 and did as they had been taughtG1321. And this reportG3056 is current among the JewsG2453 until this dayG2250. 16But the elevenG1733 disciplesG3101 wentG4198 into GalileeG1056 to the mountainG3735 which JesusG2424 had appointedG5021 them. 17And when they sawG3708 him, they did homage to him: but some doubted. 18And JesusG2424 comingG4334 up spokeG2980 to them, sayingG3004, All powerG1849 has been givenG1325 me in heavenG3772 and upon earthG1093. 19GoG4198 [thereforeG3767] and make disciples of all the nationsG1484, baptising them to the nameG3686 of the FatherG3962, and of the SonG5207, and of the HolyG40 SpiritG4151; 20teachingG1321 them to observeG5083 all thingsG3956 whatsoever I have enjoined you. And beholdG2400, I amG1510 with you all the daysG2250, until the completion of the ageG165.
