Mark 1
1Beginning of the glad tidings of JesusG2424 ChristG5547, Son of 1God; 2as it is writtenG1125 in [IsaiahG2268] the prophetG4396, BeholdG2400, I sendG649 my messengerG32 before thy faceG4383, who shall prepareG2680 thy wayG3598. 3VoiceG5456 of oneG3588 cryingG994 in the wildernessG2048, PrepareG2090 the wayG3598 of [the] LordG2962, makeG4160 his pathsG5147 straightG2117. 4There cameG1096 JohnG2491 baptising in the wildernessG2048, and preachingG2784 [the] baptismG908 of repentanceG3341 for remission of sinsG266. 5And there wentG1607 out to him all the district of Judaea, and all they of JerusalemG2415, and were baptised by him in the riverG4215 JordanG2446, confessingG1843 their sinsG266. 6And JohnG2491 wasG1510 clothed in camel's hairG2359, and a leathern girdle about his loinsG3751, and ateG2068 locustsG200 and wildG66 honeyG3192. 7And he preachedG2784, sayingG3004, There comesG2064 he that isG1510 mightierG2478 than I after me, the thong of whose sandalsG5266 I amG1510 not fitG2425 to stoopG2955 downG2955 and unloose. 8I indeed have baptised you with waterG5204, but he shall baptise you with [the] HolyG40 SpiritG4151. 9And it cameG2064 to passG1096 in those daysG2250 [that] JesusG2424 cameG2064 from NazarethG3478 of GalileeG1056, and was baptised by JohnG2491 at the JordanG2446. 10And straightway goingG305 up from the waterG5204, he sawG3708 the heavensG3772 parting asunder, and the SpiritG4151, as a doveG4058, descendingG2597 upon him. 11And there cameG1096 a voiceG5456 out of the heavensG3772: Thou art my belovedG27 SonG5207, in thee I have found my delight. 12And immediately the SpiritG4151 drives him out into the wildernessG2048. 13And he wasG1510 in the wildernessG2048 fortyG5062 daysG2250 temptedG3985 by SatanG4567, and wasG1510 with the wildG2342 beastsG2342; and the angelsG32 ministeredG1247 to him. 14But after JohnG2491 was deliveredG3860 up, JesusG2424 cameG2064 into GalileeG1056 preachingG2784 the glad tidings of the kingdom of 2GodG2316, 15and sayingG3004, The timeG2540 is fulfilled and the kingdomG932 of 3GodG2316 has drawn nigh; repentG3340 and believeG4100 in the glad tidings. 16And walking by the seaG2281 of GalileeG1056, he sawG3708 SimonG4613, and AndrewG406, [Simon's] brotherG80, castingG906 out a net in the seaG2281, for they wereG1510 fishersG231. 17And JesusG2424 saidG3004 to them, ComeG1096 after me, and I will makeG4160 you becomeG1096 fishersG231 of menG444; 18and straightway leavingG863 their trawl-nets they followedG190 him. 19And going on thence a littleG3641, he sawG3708 JamesG2385 the [son] of ZebedeeG2199, and JohnG2491 his brotherG80, and these [were] in the shipG4143 repairing the trawl-nets; 20and straightway he calledG2564 them; and leavingG863 their fatherG3962 ZebedeeG2199 in the shipG4143 with the hired servantsG3411, they wentG565 awayG565 after him. 21And they go into CapernaumG2584. And straightway on the sabbathG4521 he enteredG1531 into the synagogueG4864 and taughtG1321. 22And they wereG1510 astonishedG1605 at his doctrine, for he taughtG1321 them as having authorityG1849, and not as the scribesG1122. 23And there wasG1510 in their synagogueG4864 a manG444 [possessed] by an uncleanG169 spiritG4151, and he cried out 24sayingG3004, Eh! what have we to do with thee, JesusG2424, NazareneG3479? Art thou comeG2064 to destroyG622 us? I know thee who thou art, the holyG40 oneG3588 of 4GodG2316. 25And JesusG2424 rebukedG2008 him, sayingG3004, Hold thy peace and comeG1831 out of him. 26And the uncleanG169 spiritG4151, having torn him, and uttered a cryG5456 with a loudG3173 voiceG5456, cameG1831 out of him. 27And all wereG1510 amazed, so that they questioned together among themselves, sayingG3004, What isG1510 this? what newG2537 doctrine isG1510 this? for with authorityG1849 he commandsG2004 evenG2532 the uncleanG169 spiritsG4151, and they obeyG5219 him. 28And his fame wentG1831 out straightway into the wholeG3650 regionG4066 of GalileeG1056 around. 29And straightway goingG1831 out of the synagogueG4864, they cameG2064 with JamesG2385 and JohnG2491 into the houseG3614 of SimonG4613 and AndrewG406. 30And the mother-in-law of SimonG4613 lay in a feverG4445. And straightway they speakG3004 to him about her. 31And he went up to [her] and raisedG1453 her up, having taken her by the handG5495, and straightway the feverG4446 leftG863 her, and she servedG1247 them. 32But eveningG3798 being comeG1096, whenG3753 the sunG2246 had gone down, they broughtG5342 to him all that were suffering, and those possessed by demons; 33and the wholeG3650 cityG4172 wasG1510 gatheredG1996 togetherG1996 at the doorG2374. 34And he healedG2323 manyG4183 suffering from variousG4164 diseasesG3554; and he castG1544 out manyG4183 demonsG1140, and did not suffer the demonsG1140 to speakG2980 because they knew him. 35And risingG450 in the morningG4404 long before day, he wentG1831 out and wentG1831 awayG565 into a desert placeG5117, and there prayedG4336. 36And SimonG4613 and those with him went after him: 37and having foundG2147 him, they sayG3004 to him, All seekG2212 thee. 38And he saysG3004 to them, Let us goG1831 elsewhere into the neighbouring country towns, that I may preachG2784 there alsoG2532, for for this purpose am I comeG1831 forthG1831. 39And he was preachingG2784 in their synagoguesG4864 in the wholeG3650 of GalileeG1056, and casting out demonsG1140. 40And there comesG2064 to him a leperG3015, beseechingG3870 him, and falling on his knees to him, and sayingG3004 to him, If thou wilt thou canst cleanseG2511 me. 41But Jesus, moved with compassionG4697, having stretchedG1614 out his handG5495, touchedG681 him, and saysG3004 to him, I willG2309, be thou cleansedG2511. 42And as he spoke straightway the leprosyG3014 left him, and he was cleansedG2511. 43And having sharply charged him, he straightway sentG1544 him away, 44and saysG3004 to him, SeeG3708 thou sayG3004 nothingG3367 to any oneG3367, but goG5217, shew thyself to the priestG2409, and offerG4374 for thy cleansing what MosesG3475 ordained, for a testimonyG3142 to them. 45But he, having goneG1831 forthG1831, beganG757 to proclaimG2784 [it] muchG4183, and to spread the matterG3056 abroad, so that he could noG3371 longerG3371 enterG1525 openlyG5320 into the cityG4172, but wasG1510 without in desert placesG5117, and they cameG2064 to him from every sideG3840.
