2And I heardἤκουσαēkousaG191a voiceφωνὴνphōnēnG5456from heavenοὐρανοῦouranouG3772,likeὡςhōsG5613the soundφωνὴνphōnēnG5456of manyπολλῶνpollōnG4183watersὑδάτωνhudatōnG5204and likeὡςhōsG5613thesoundφωνὴνphōnēnG5456of loudμεγάλης,megalēsG3173thunderβροντῆςbrontēsG1027,and the voiceφωνὴphōnēG5456whichἣνhēnG3739I heardἤκουσαēkousaG191waslikeὡςhōsG5613the sound ofharpistsκιθαρῳδῶνkitharōdōnG2790playingκιθαριζόντωνkitharizontōnG2789on their harpsκιθάραιςkitharaisG2788.
3And they sangᾄδουσινadousinG103a newκαινὴνkainēnG2537songᾠδὴνōdēnG5603beforeἐνώπιονenōpionG1799the throneθρόνουthronouG2362and beforeἐνώπιονenōpionG1799thefourτεσσάρωνtessarōnG5064livingG2226creaturesG2226and theeldersπρεσβυτέρων,presbuterōnG4245; andnoG3762oneοὐδεὶςoudeisG3762was ableἐδύνατοedunatoG1410to learnμαθεῖνmatheinG3129the songᾠδὴνōdēnG5603exceptG1508the144,000ἑκατὸν τέσσαρες χιλιάδες,hekaton tessares chiliadesG1540G5065G5064G5505who had beenpurchasedἠγορασμένοιēgorasmenoiG59from the earthγῆς.gēsG1093.
4TheseοὗτοίhoutoiG3778are the ones who have not defiledἐμολύνθησαν,emolunthēsanG3435themselves with womenγυναικῶνgunaikōnG1135,for they are celibateπαρθένοιparthenoiG3933.TheseοὗτοιhoutoiG3778are the ones whofollowἀκολουθοῦντεςakolouthountesG190the LambἀρνίῳarniōG721whereverὅπου ἂνhopou anG3699G302He goesὑπάγῃ·hupagēG5217.TheseοὗτοιhoutoiG3778have beenpurchasedἠγοράσθησανēgorasthēsanG59from mankindἀνθρώπων,anthrōpōnG444as firstG536fruitsG536to GodθεῷtheōG2316and to the Lambἀρνίῳ·arniōG721.

8And anotherἄλλοςallosG243angelἄγγελοςangelosG32,a secondδεύτεροςdeuterosG1208oneG1208,followedἠκολούθησενēkolouthēsenG190,sayingλέγων·legōnG3004, “FallenἔπεσενepesenG4098,fallenἔπεσενepesenG4098isBabylonΒαβυλὼνBabulōnG897the greatμεγάληmegalēG3173,she whoἣhēG3739hasmadeG4222allπάνταpantaG3956the nationsἔθνη.¶ethnēG1484drinkπεπότικενpepotikenG4222of thewineοἴνουoinouG3631of thepassionθυμοῦthumouG2372of her sexualG4202immoralityπορνείαςporneiasG4202.”
