1ThenG2532I sawG3708an angelἄγγελονangelonG32comingG2597downG2597from heavenοὐρανοῦouranouG3772,holdingἔχονταechontaG2192thekeyκλεῖνkleinG2807of the abyssἀβύσσουabussouG12and a greatμεγάληνmegalēnG3173chainἅλυσινhalusinG254in his handχεῖραcheiraG5495.

2And he tookG2902holdG2902of thedragonδράκοντα,drakontaG1404,the serpentὄφιςophisG3789of oldἀρχαῖος,archaiosG744,whoὅςhosG3739is the devilδιάβολοςdiabolosG1228and SatanΣατανᾶς.SatanasG4567, andboundἔδησενedēsenG1210him for a thousandχίλιαchiliaG5507yearsἔτηetēG2094;

3and he threwἔβαλενebalenG906him into theabyssἄβυσσονabussonG12and shutἔκλεισενekleisenG2808it andsealedἐσφράγισενesphragisenG4972itoverἐπάνωepanōG1883him, soἵναinaG2443thatG2443he wouldnot deceiveπλανήσῃplanēsēG4105the nationsἔθνηethnēG1484anyG2089longerἔτιetiG2089,untilἄχριachriG891the thousandχίλιαchiliaG5507yearsἔτη.etēG2094were completedτελεσθῇtelesthēaG5055;afterμετὰmetaG3326theseG3778thingsταῦταtautaG3778he mustδεῖdeiG1163be releasedλυθῆναιluthēnaiG3089for a shortμικρὸνmikronG3398timeχρόνον.¶chrononG5550.

And I sawthe soulsψυχὰςpsuchasG5590of thoseG3588who had been beheadedπεπελεκισμένωνpepelekismenōnG3990becauseδιὰdiaG1223of theirtestimonyμαρτυρίανmarturianG3141of JesusἸησοῦIēsouG2424and becauseδιὰdiaG1223of the wordλόγονlogonG3056of Godθεοῦ,theouG2316,and those whoοἵτινεςoitinesG3748had notworshipedπροσεκύνησανprosekunēsanG4352the beastθηρίονthērionG2342orοὐδὲoudeG3761his imageεἰκόναeikonaG1504,and had not receivedἔλαβονelabonG2983themarkχάραγμαcharagmaG5480on their foreheadsμέτωπονmetōponG3359and on their handsχεῖραcheiraG5495; and theycameG2198toG2198lifeG2198andreignedἐβασίλευσανebasileusanG936with ChristΧριστοῦChristouG5547for a thousandχίλιαchiliaG5507yearsἔτη.etēG2094.

5The restλοιποὶloipoiG3062of the deadνεκρῶνnekrōnG3498did not comeG2198toG2198lifeG2198untilἄχριachriG891the thousandχίλιαchiliaG5507yearsἔτη.¶etēG2094were completedτελεσθῇtelesthēaG5055.ThisΑὕτηHautēG3778is the firstπρώτη.prōtēG4413resurrectionἀνάστασιςanastasisG386.

6BlessedμακάριοςmakariosG3107and holyἅγιοςhagiosG40is the one who hasἔχωνechōnG2192a partμέροςmerosG3313in the firstπρώτῃ·prōtēG4413resurrectionἀναστάσειanastaseiG386;overἐπὶepiG1909theseτούτωνtoutōnG3778thesecondδεύτεροςdeuterosG1208deathθάνατοςthanatosG2288hasἔχειecheiG2192noοὐκoukG3756powerἐξουσίαν,exousianG1849, but they will bepriestsἱερεῖςhi'ereisG2409of GodθεοῦtheouG2316and of ChristΧριστοῦChristouG5547, and willreignβασιλεύσουσινbasileusousinG936with Him for a thousandχίλιαchiliaG5507yearsἔτη.¶etēG2094.

7WhenὅτανhotanG3752the thousandχίλιαchiliaG5507yearsἔτη,etēG2094are completedτελεσθῇtelesthēaG5055,SatanσατανᾶςsatanasG4567will bereleasedλυθήσεταιluthēsetaiG3089from his prisonφυλακῆςphulakēsG5438,

8and will comeG1831outG1831todeceiveπλανῆσαιplanēsaiG4105the nationsἔθνηethnēG1484which are at thefourτέσσαρσινtessarsinG5064cornersγωνίαιςgōniaisG1137of the earthγῆς,gēsG1093,GogΓὼγGōgG1136and MagogΜαγώγ,MagōgG3098, togatherσυναγαγεῖνsunagageinG4863them togetherG4863for the warπόλεμον,polemonG4171;the numberἀριθμὸςarithmosG706of them is likeὡςhōsG5613thesandἄμμοςammosG285of theseashoreθαλάσσης.thalassēsG2281.

9And theycameG305upG305on thebroadG4114plainG4114of the earthγῆςgēsG1093and surroundedG2943thecampπαρεμβολὴνparembolēnG3925of thesaintsἁγίωνhagiōnG40and thebelovedἠγαπημένην.ēgapēmenēnG25cityπόλινpolinG4172, andfireπῦρpurG4442cameG2597downκατέβηkatebēG2597from heavenοὐρανοῦouranouG3772and devouredκατέφαγενkatephagenG2719them.

10Andthe devilδιάβολοςdiabolosG1228whodeceivedπλανῶνplanōnG4105them was thrownἐβλήθηeblēthēG906into thelakeλίμνηνlimnēnG3041of fireπυρὸςpurosG4442andbrimstoneθείουtheiouG2303,whereὅπουhopouG3699thebeastθηρίονthērionG2342and thefalseψευδοπροφήτης,pseudoprophētēsG5578prophetG5578arealsoG2532; and they will betormentedβασανισθήσονταιbasanisthēsontaiG928dayἡμέραςhēmerasG2250and nightνυκτὸςnuktosG3571foreverαἰῶναςaiōnasG165and everαἰώνων.¶aiōnōnG165.

11ThenG2532I sawG3708a greatμέγανmeganG3173whiteλευκὸνleukonG3022throneθρόνονthrononG2362and Him who satκαθήμενονkathēmenonG2521upon it, from whoseοὗhouG3739presenceπροσώπουprosōpouG4383earthγῆgēG1093and heavenοὐρανός,ouranosG3772fledἔφυγενephugenG5343, andnoοὐχouchG3756placeτόποςtoposG5117was foundεὑρέθηheurethēG2147for them.

12And I sawG3708the deadνεκρούς,nekrousG3498, thegreatμεγάλουςmegalousG3173and the smallμικρούς,mikrousG3398,standingἑστῶταςhestōtasG2476beforeἐνώπιονenōpionG1799the throneθρόνου,thronouG2362, andbooksβιβλίαbibliaG975were openedἠνοίχθησαν.ēnoichthēsanG455;and anotherἄλλοalloG243bookβιβλίονbiblionG975was openedἠνοίχθηēnoichthēG455,whichὅhoG3739is the bookof lifeζωῆς.zōēsG2222;and the deadνεκροὶnekroiG3498were judgedἐκρίθησανekrithēsanG2919from the things which were writtenγεγραμμένωνgegrammenōnG1125in thebooksβιβλίοιςbiblioisG975,accordingκατὰkataG2596to their deedsἔργαergaG2041.

13And the seaθάλασσαthalassaG2281gaveG1325upG1325the deadνεκροὺςnekrousG3498who were in it, andDeathθάνατοςthanatosG2288and HadesᾅδηςhadēsG86gaveG1325upG1325the deadνεκροὺςnekrousG3498who were in them; and they were judgedἐκρίθησανekrithēsanG2919,eachG1538oneG1538of themaccordingκατὰkataG2596to their deedsἔργαergaG2041.

14ThenG2532DeathθάνατοςthanatosG2288and HadesᾅδηςhadēsG86were thrownἐβλήθησανeblēthēsanG906intothe lakeλίμνηνlimnēnG3041of fireπυρός·purosG4442.ThisοὗτοςhoutosG3778is thesecondδεύτερόςdeuterosG1208deathθάνατοςthanatosG2288,the lakeλίμνηlimnēG3041of fireπυρός.purosG4442.

15And ifεἴeiG1487anyone’sτιςtisG5100name was not foundεὑρέθηheurethēG2147writtenγεγραμμένος,gegrammenosG1125inthe bookβίβλῳbiblōG976of lifeζωῆςzōēsG2222,he was thrownἐβλήθηeblēthēG906into the lakeλίμνηνlimnēnG3041of fireπυρός.¶purosG4442.
