1ThenG2532I sawG3708a newκαινὸνkainonG2537heavenοὐρανὸνouranonG3772and a newκαινήν.kainēnG2537earthγῆνgēnG1093; forthe firstπρῶτοςprōtosG4413heavenοὐρανὸςouranosG3772and the firstπρώτηprōtēG4413earthγῆgēG1093passedG565awayἀπῆλθαν,apēlthanG565,and there is noοὐκoukG3756longerἔτι.etiG2089anyseaθάλασσαthalassaG2281.

2And I sawG3708the holyἁγίανhagianG40cityπόλινpolinG4172,newκαινὴνkainēnG2537JerusalemἸερουσαλὴμIerousalēmG2419,comingG2597downκαταβαίνουσανkatabainousanG2597out of heavenοὐρανοῦouranouG3772from GodθεοῦtheouG2316,preparedἡτοιμασμένηνhētoimasmenēnG2090as a brideνύμφηνnumphēnG3565adornedκεκοσμημένηνkekosmēmenēnG2885for her husbandἀνδρὶandriG435.

3And I heardἤκουσαēkousaG191a loudμεγάληςmegalēsG3173voiceφωνῆςphōnēsG5456from the throneθρόνουthronouG2362,sayingλεγούσης·legousēsG3004, “BeholdἰδοὺidouG2400,the tabernacleσκηνὴskēnēG4633of GodG2316is amongμετὰmetaG3326the peopleἀνθρώπων,anthrōpōnG444, and He willdwellσκηνώσειskēnōseiG4637amongμετ᾽met᾽G3326them, and they shall be HispeopleλαοὶlaoiG2992,and GodG2316HimselfG846will be amongμετ᾽met᾽G3326them,

4and He willwipeἐξαλείψειexaleipseiG1813awayG1813everyπᾶνpanG3956tearδάκρυονdakruonG1144from their eyesὀφθαλμῶνophthalmōnG3788; andthere will noοὐκoukG3756longerἔτιetiG2089be anydeathθάνατοςthanatosG2288;there will noοὐκoukG3756longerἔτι·etiG2089be anymourningπένθοςpenthosG3997,orG3777cryingκραυγή,kraugēG2906,orG3777painπόνοςponosG4192;the firstG4413thingsG4413have passedG565awayἀπῆλθαν.¶apēlthanG565.”

5AndHe who sitsκαθήμενοςkathēmenosG2521on the throneθρόνῳ·thronōG2362saidλέγειlegeiG3004, “BeholdἰδοὺidouG2400, I ammakingποιῶpoiōG4160allG3956thingsπάντα.pantaG3956newκαινὰkainaG2537.”And He saidG3004, “WriteγράψονgrapsonG1125, fortheseοὗτοιhoutoiG3778wordsλόγοιlogoiG3056are faithfulπιστοὶpistoiG4103and trueἀληθινοίalēthinoiG228.”

6ThenG2532He saidG3004to me, “It is doneγέγοναν.gegonanG1096. I am theAlphaG256and the Omegaὦ,ōG5598,the beginningἀρχὴarchēG746and the endτέλος.telosG5056.I will giveδώσωdōsōG1325waterto the one who thirstsδιψῶντιdipsōntiG1372from the springπηγῆςpēgēsG4077of thewaterὕδατοςhudatosG5204of lifeζωῆςzōēsG2222,withoutG1432costG1432.

7The one who overcomesνικῶνnikōnG3528will inheritκληρονομήσειklēronomēseiG2816theseG3778thingsταῦτα,tautaG3778, andI will be his Godθεός,theosG2316and he will be My sonυἱός.huiosG5207.

8But for the cowardlyδειλοῖςdeiloisG1169, andunbelievingἀπίστοιςapistoisG571,and abominableἐβδελυγμένοιςebdelugmenoisG948,and murderersφονεῦσινphoneusinG5406,and sexuallyπόρνοιςpornoisG4205immoralG4205personsG4205,and sorcerersφαρμάκοιςpharmakoisG5333,and idolatersεἰδωλολάτραιςeidōlolatraisG1496,and allπᾶσινpasinG3956liarsψευδέσιν,pseudesinG5571,their partμέροςmerosG3313will be inthe lakeλίμνῃlimnēG3041that burnsκαιομένῃkaiomenēG2545with fireπυρὶpuriG4442andbrimstoneθείῳ,theiōG2303,whichὅhoG3739is thesecondδεύτερος.¶deuterosG1208deathθάνατοςthanatosG2288.”

9ThenG2532oneεἷςheisG1520of the sevenἑπτὰheptaG2033angelsἀγγέλωνangelōnG32who hadἐχόντωνechontōnG2192thesevenἑπτὰheptaG2033bowlsφιάλαςphialasG5357,fullγεμόντωνgemontōnG1073of thesevenἑπτὰheptaG2033lastἐσχάτωνeschatōnG2078plaguesπληγῶνplēgōnG4127,cameἦλθενēlthenG2064and spokeἐλάλησενelalēsenG2980with me, sayingλέγων·legōnG3004, “Comeδεῦρο,deuroG1204hereG1204,I will showδείξωdeixōG1166you thebrideνύμφηνnumphēnG3565,the wifeγυναῖκαgunaikaG1135of the Lambἀρνίου.arniouG721.”

10Andhe carriedG667me awayἀπήνεγκένapēnegkenG667in theSpiritπνεύματιpneumatiG4151to a greatμέγαmegaG3173and highὑψηλὸνhupsēlonG5308mountainὄροςorosG3735,and showedἔδειξένedeixenG1166methe holyἁγίανhagianG40cityπόλινpolinG4172,JerusalemἸερουσαλὴμIerousalēmG2419,comingG2597downG2597out of heavenοὐρανοῦouranouG3772from Godθεοῦ,theouG2316,

11havingἔχουσανechousanG2192the gloryδόξανdoxanG1391of Godθεοῦ.theouG2316. HerbrillianceφωστὴρphōstērG5458was likeὅμοιοςhomoiosG3664a veryG5093valuableG5093stoneλίθῳlithōG3037, like astoneλίθῳlithōG3037ofcrystal-clearκρυσταλλίζοντιkrustallizontiG2929jasperἰάσπιδιiaspidiG2393.

12It hadG2192a greatμέγαmegaG3173and highὑψηλόν,hupsēlonG5308wallτεῖχοςteichosG5038,with twelveδώδεκαdōdekaG1427gatesπυλῶναςpulōnasG4440,and at the gatesπυλῶσινpulōsinG4440twelveδώδεκα,dōdekaG1427angelsἀγγέλουςangelousG32;and namesG3686werewrittenG1924onG1924the gates,whichἅhaG3739are the namesof the twelveδώδεκαdōdekaG1427tribesφυλῶνphulōnG5443of the sonsυἱῶνhuiōnG5207of IsraelἸσραήλ·IsraēlG2474.

13There werethreeτρεῖς,treisG5140gatesπυλῶνεςpulōnesG4440on the eastἀνατολῆςanatolēsG395,threeτρεῖς,treisG5140gatesπυλῶνεςpulōnesG4440on the northβορρᾶborraG1005,threeτρεῖς,treisG5140gatesπυλῶνεςpulōnesG4440on the southνότουnotouG3558,and threeτρεῖς.treisG5140gatesπυλῶνεςpulōnesG4440on the westδυσμῶνdusmōnG1424.

14And the wallτεῖχοςteichosG5038of the cityπόλεωςpoleōsG4172hadἔχωνechōnG2192twelveδώδεκαdōdekaG1427foundationθεμελίουςthemeliousG2310stonesG2310, and on them were thetwelveδώδεκαdōdekaG1427namesὀνόματαonomataG3686of thetwelveδώδεκαdōdekaG1427apostlesἀποστόλωνapostolōnG652of the Lambἀρνίου.¶arniouG721.

15The one who spokeλαλῶνlalōnG2980with me hadεἶχενeichenG2192agoldχρυσοῦνchrusounG5552measuringG2563rodG2563to measureμετρήσῃmetrēsēG3354the cityπόλινpolinG4172, itsgatesπυλῶναςpulōnasG4440,and its wallτεῖχοςteichosG5038.

16The cityπόλιςpolisG4172is laidG2749outG2749as a squareτετράγωνοςtetragōnosG5068,and its lengthμῆκοςmēkosG3372is as greatὅσονhosonG3745as the widthπλάτος.platosG4114;and he measuredἐμέτρησενemetrēsenG3354the cityπόλινpolinG4172with therodκαλάμῳkalamōG2563,twelve thousand stadiaσταδίωνstadiōnG4712;its lengthμῆκοςmēkosG3372,widthπλάτοςplatosG4114,and heightὕψοςhupsosG5311are equalἴσαisaG2470.

17And he measuredἐμέτρησενemetrēsenG3354its wallτεῖχοςteichosG5038,144 cubitsπηχῶν,pēchōnG4083, byhumanἀνθρώπουanthrōpouG444measurementsμέτρονmetronG3358,whichὅhoG3739are alsoangelicἀγγέλου.angelouG32measurements.

18The materialG1746of the wallτείχουςteichousG5038wasjasperἴασπις,iaspisG2393;and the cityπόλιςpolisG4172waspureκαθαρὸνkatharonG2513goldχρυσίονchrusionG5553,likeὅμοιονhomoionG3664clearκαθαρῷ.katharōG2513glassὑάλῳhu'alōG5194.

21And the twelveδώδεκαdōdekaG1427gatesπυλῶνεςpulōnesG4440were twelveδώδεκαdōdekaG1427pearlsμαργαρῖται.margaritaiG3135;eachἕκαστοςhekastosG1538oneεἷςheisG1520of the gatesπυλώνωνpulōnōnG4440was a singleἑνὸςhenosG1520pearlμαργαρίτου.¶margaritouG3135.And the streetπλατεῖαplateiaG4116of the cityπόλεωςpoleōsG4172waspureκαθαρὸνkatharonG2513goldχρυσίονchrusionG5553,likeὡςhōsG5613transparentG1306glassὕαλοςhu'alosG5194.

22I sawG3708noοὐκoukG3756templeναὸνnaonG3485in it, for theLordκύριοςkuriosG2962GodθεὸςtheosG2316the AlmightyπαντοκράτωρpantokratōrG3841and theLambἀρνίον.arnionG721are itstempleναὸςnaosG3485.

23And the cityπόλιςpolisG4172hasἔχειecheiG2192noοὐouG3756needχρείανchreianG5532of the sunἡλίουhēliouG2246orοὐδὲoudeG3761of the moonσελήνηςselēnēsG4582to shineφαίνωσινphainōsinG5316on it, forthe gloryδόξαdoxaG1391of GodθεοῦtheouG2316has illuminatedἐφώτισενephōtisenG5461it, and its lampλύχνοςluchnosG3088is theLambἀρνίον.arnionG721.

24The nationsἔθνηethnēG1484will walkπεριπατήσουσινperipatēsousinG4043by its lightφωτὸςphōtosG5457, and thekingsβασιλεῖςbasileisG935of the earthγῆςgēsG1093will bringφέρουσινpherousinG5342their gloryδόξανdoxanG1391into it.

25In the daytimeἡμέρας·hēmerasG2250(forthere will be noοὐouG3756nightνὺξnuxG3571thereἐκεῖ.ekeiG1563)its gatesπυλῶνεςpulōnesG4440will neverοὐκoukG3756be closedκλεισθῶσινkleisthōsinG2808;

26andthey will bringοἴσουσινoisousinG5342the gloryδόξανdoxanG1391and the honorτιμὴνtimēnG5092of the nationsἐθνῶνethnōnG1484into it;

27andnothingπᾶνpanG3956uncleanκοινὸνkoinonG2839,and noG3756 G3361one who practicesποιῶνpoiōnG4160abominationβδέλυγμαbdelugmaG946and lyingψεῦδοςpseudosG5579,shall everG3756 G3361comeεἰσέλθῃeiselthēG1525into it, but onlyεἰeiG1487 G3361thoseG3588whose names arewrittenγεγραμμένοιgegrammenoiG1125in the Lamb’sἀρνίου.¶arniouG721bookβιβλίῳbibliōG975of lifeζωῆςzōēsG2222.
