Revelation 14

The Lamb and the 144,000 on Mount Zion

1Then I looked, and behold, 1the Lamb was standing on 2Mount Zion, and with Him 3144,000 who had 4His name and the 5name of His Father written 6on their foreheads. 2And I heard a voice from heaven, like 7the sound of many waters and like the 8sound of loud thunder, and the voice which I heard was like the sound of 9harpists playing on their harps. 3And they sang 1011a new song before the throne and before the 12four living creatures and the 13elders; and 14no one was able to learn the song except the 15144,000 who had been 16purchased from the earth. 417These are the ones who have not defiled themselves with women, for they are celibate. These are the ones who 18follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These have been 19purchased from mankind 20as first fruits to God and to the Lamb. 5And 21no lie was found in their mouths; they are 22blameless.

Vision of the Angel with the Gospel

6And I saw another angel flying in 23midheaven with 24an eternal gospel to preach to 25those who 26live on the earth, and to 27every nation, tribe, language, and people; 7and he said with a loud voice, “28Fear God and 29give Him glory, because the hour of His judgment has come; worship Him who 30made the heaven and the earth, and sea and 31springs of waters.”

8And another angel, a second one, followed, saying, “3233Fallen, fallen is 34Babylon the great, she who has 35made all the nations drink of the 36wine of the 37passion of her sexual immorality.”

Doom for Worshipers of the Beast

9Then another angel, a third one, followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone 38worships the beast and his 39image, and receives a 40mark on his forehead or on his hand, 10he also will drink of the 41wine of the wrath of God, which is mixed 42in full strength 43in the cup of His anger; and he will be tormented with 44fire and 45brimstone in the presence of the 46holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. 11And the 47smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; 48they have no rest day and night, those who 49worship the beast and his 50image, and 51whoever receives the 52mark of his name.” 12Here is 53the 54perseverance of the 55saints who 56keep the commandments of God and 5758their faith in Jesus.

13And I heard a voice from heaven, saying, “Write: ‘59Blessed are the dead who 60die in the Lord from now on!’” “Yes,” 61says the Spirit, “so that they may 62rest from their labors, for their 63deeds follow with them.”

The Harvest

14Then I looked, and behold, a 64white cloud, and sitting on the cloud was one 65like 66a son of man, with a golden 67crown on His head and a sharp sickle in His hand. 15And another angel 68came out of the 69temple, calling out with a loud voice to Him who sat on the cloud, “7071Put in Your sickle and reap, for the hour to reap has come, because the 72harvest of the earth 73is ripe.” 16Then He who sat on the cloud 74swung His sickle over the earth, and the earth was reaped.

17And another angel 75came out of the 76temple which is in heaven, and he also had a sharp sickle. 18Then another angel, 77the one who has power over fire, came out from 78the altar; and he called with a loud voice to him who had the sharp sickle, saying, “7980Put in your sharp sickle and gather the clusters 81from the vine of the earth, 82because her grapes are ripe.” 19So the angel 83swung his sickle to the earth and gathered the clusters from the vine of the earth, and threw them into 84the great wine press of the wrath of God. 20And 85the wine press was trampled 86outside the city, and 87blood came out from the wine press, up to the horses’ bridles, 88for a distance of 891,600 stadia.
