1After these thingsG3778 JesusG2424 wentG565 awayG565 beyond the seaG2281 of GalileeG1056, [or] of TiberiasG5085, 2and a greatG4183 crowdG3793 followedG190 him, because they sawG3708 the signsG4592 which he wrought upon the sickG770. 3And JesusG2424 went up into the mountainG3735, and there satG2521 with his disciplesG3101: 4but the passoverG3957, the feastG1859 of the JewsG2453, wasG1510 near. 5JesusG2424 then, liftingG1869 up his eyesG3788 and seeingG2300 that a greatG4183 crowdG3793 is comingG2064 to him, saysG3004 to PhilipG5376, Whence shall we buyG59 loavesG740 that these may eatG2068? 6But this he saidG3004 trying him, for he knew what he was going to do. 7PhilipG5376 answeredG611 him, LoavesG740 for twoG1250 hundredG1250 denariiG1220 are not sufficient for them, that each may have some littleG1024 [portion]. 8OneG1520 of his disciplesG3101, AndrewG406, SimonG4613 Peter's brotherG80, saysG3004 to him, 9There isG1510 a little boy hereG5602 who has fiveG4002 barleyG2916 loavesG740 and twoG1417 small fishes; but this, what isG1510 it for so manyG5118? 10[And] JesusG2424 saidG3004, MakeG4160 the menG444 sit down. And it had alreadyG2235 becomeG1096 darkG4653, and JesusG2424 had not comeG2064 to them, 18and the seaG2281 was agitated by a strong windG417 blowingG4154. 19Having rowed then about twenty-five or thirtyG5144 stadia, they seeG2334 JesusG2424 walkingG4043 on the seaG2281 and comingG1096 near the shipG4143; and they were frightenedG5399. 20But he saysG3004 to them, It isG1510 I: beG1510 not afraidG5399. 21They were willingG2309 thereforeG3767 to receiveG2983 him into the shipG4143; and immediatelyG2112 the shipG4143 was at the landG1093 to which they went. 22On the morrow the crowdG3793 which stoodG2476 on the otherG243 sideG4008 of the seaG2281, having seenG3708 that there wasG1510 no otherG243 little shipG4143 there except that into which his disciplesG3101 had got, and that JesusG2424 had not goneG565 with his disciplesG3101 into the shipG4143, but [that] his disciplesG3101 had goneG565 awayG565 aloneG3441; 23(but other little ships out of TiberiasG5085 cameG2064 near to the placeG5117 whereG3699 they ateG2068 breadG740 after the LordG2962 had givenG2168 thanksG2168;) 24whenG3753 thereforeG3767 the crowdG3793 sawG3708 that JesusG2424 wasG1510 not there, nor his disciplesG3101, they got into the ships, and cameG2064 to CapernaumG2584, seekingG2212 JesusG2424. 25And having foundG2147 him the otherG4008 sideG4008 of the seaG2281, they saidG3004 to him, RabbiG4461, when art thou arrived hereG5602? 26JesusG2424 answeredG611 them and saidG3004, Verily, verily, I sayG3004 to you, Ye seekG2212 me not because ye have seenG3708 signsG4592, but because ye have eatenG2068 of the loavesG740 and been filledG5526. 27WorkG2038 not [for] the foodG1035 which perishesG622, but [for] the foodG1035 which abidesG3306 unto lifeG2222 eternalG166, which the SonG5207 of manG444 shall giveG1325 to you; for him has the FatherG3962 sealedG4972, [even] 1GodG2316. 28They saidG3004 thereforeG3767 to him, What should we do that we may workG2041 the worksG2041 of 2GodG2316? 29JesusG2424 answeredG611 and saidG3004 to them, This isG1510 the workG2041 of 3GodG2316, that ye believeG4100 on him whom he has sentG649. 30They saidG3004 thereforeG3767 to him, What signG4592 then doest thou that we may seeG3708 and believeG4100 thee? what dost thou workG2038? 31Our fathersG3962 ateG2068 the mannaG3131 in the wildernessG2048, as it isG1510 writtenG1125, He gaveG1325 them breadG740 out of heavenG3772 to eatG2068. 32JesusG2424 thereforeG3767 saidG3004 to them, Verily, verily, I sayG3004 to you, [It is] not MosesG3475 that has givenG1325 you the breadG740 out of heavenG3772; but my FatherG3962 givesG1325 you the trueG228 breadG740 out of heavenG3772. 33For the breadG740 of 4GodG2316 isG1510 he who comesG2597 downG2597 out of heavenG3772 and givesG1325 lifeG2222 to the worldG2889. 34They saidG3004 thereforeG3767 to him, LordG2962, ever giveG1325 to us this breadG740. 35[And] JesusG2424 saidG3004 to them, I amG1510 the breadG740 of lifeG2222: he that comesG2064 to me shall never hungerG3983, and he that believesG4100 on me shall never thirstG1372 at any timeG4455. 36But I have saidG3004 to you, that ye have alsoG2532 seenG3708 me and do not believeG4100. 37All that the FatherG3962 givesG1325 me shall comeG2064 to me, and him that comesG2064 to me I will not at all castG1544 out. 38For I am comeG2597 down from heavenG3772, not that I should do my will, but the will of him that has sentG3992 me. 39And this isG1510 the will of him that has sentG3992 me, that of all that he has givenG1325 me I should loseG622 nothing, but should raiseG450 it up in the lastG2078 dayG2250. 40For this isG1510 the will of my FatherG3962, that every oneG3778 who seesG2334 the SonG5207, and believesG4100 on him, should have lifeG2222 eternalG166; and I will raiseG450 him up at the lastG2078 dayG2250. 41The JewsG2453 thereforeG3767 murmured about him, because he saidG3004, I amG1510 the breadG740 which has comeG2597 down out of heavenG3772. 42And they saidG3004, IsG1510 not this JesusG2424 the sonG5207 of JosephG2501, whose fatherG3962 and motherG3384 we have known? howG4459 then does he sayG3004, I amG1510 comeG2597 down out of heavenG3772? 43JesusG2424 therefore answeredG611 and saidG3004 to them, Murmur not among yourselves. 44No oneG3762 can comeG2064 to me except the FatherG3962 who has sentG3992 me drawG1670 him, and I will raiseG450 him up in the lastG2078 dayG2250. 45It isG1510 writtenG1125 in the prophetsG4396, And they shall beG1510 all taught of 5GodG2316. Every oneG3588 that has heardG191 from the FatherG3962 [himself], and has learnedG3129 [of him], comesG2064 to me; 46not that any oneG5100 has seenG3708 the FatherG3962, except he who isG1510 of 6GodG2316, he has seenG3708 the FatherG3962. 47Verily, verily, I sayG3004 to you, He that believesG4100 [on me] has lifeG2222 eternalG166. 48I amG1510 the breadG740 of lifeG2222. 49Your fathersG3962 ateG2068 the mannaG3131 in the wildernessG2048 and diedG599. 50This isG1510 the breadG740 which comesG2597 downG2597 out of heavenG3772, that oneG5100 may eatG2068 of it and not dieG599. 51I amG1510 the livingG2198 breadG740 which has comeG2597 down out of heavenG3772: if any oneG5100 shall have eatenG2068 of this breadG740 he shall liveG2198 for ever; but the breadG740 withal which I shall giveG1325 isG1510 my fleshG4561, which I will giveG1325 for the lifeG2222 of the worldG2889. 52The JewsG2453 thereforeG3767 contended among themselves, sayingG3004, HowG4459 can he giveG1325 us this fleshG4561 to eatG2068? 53JesusG2424 thereforeG3767 saidG3004 to them, Verily, verily, I sayG3004 unto you, Unless ye shall have eatenG2068 the fleshG4561 of the SonG5207 of manG444, and drunkG4095 his bloodG129, ye have no lifeG2222 in yourselves. 54He that eatsG5176 my fleshG4561 and drinksG4095 my bloodG129 has lifeG2222 eternalG166, and I will raiseG450 him up at the lastG2078 dayG2250: 55for my fleshG4561 isG1510 truly foodG1035 and my bloodG129 isG1510 truly drinkG4213. 56He that eatsG5176 my fleshG4561 and drinksG4095 my bloodG129 dwells in me and I in him. 57As the livingG2198 FatherG3962 has sentG649 me and I liveG2198 on accountG1223 of the FatherG3962, he alsoG2532 who eatsG5176 me shall liveG2198 alsoG2532 on accountG1223 of me. 58This isG1510 the breadG740 which has comeG2597 down out of heavenG3772. Not as the fathersG3962 ateG2068 and diedG599: he that eatsG2068 this breadG740 shall liveG2198 for ever. 59These thingsG3778 he saidG3004 in [the] synagogueG4864, teachingG1321 in CapernaumG2584. 60ManyG4183 thereforeG3767 of his disciplesG3101 having heardG191 [it] saidG3004, This wordG3056 isG1510 hard; who can hearG191 it? 61But JesusG2424, knowing in himself that his disciplesG3101 murmur concerningG4012 this, saidG3004 to them, Does this offendG4624 you? 62If thenG3767 ye seeG2334 the SonG5207 of manG444 ascendingG305 up whereG3699 he wasG1510 before? 63It isG1510 the SpiritG4151 which quickens, the fleshG4561 profitsG5623 nothing: the words which I have spokenG2980 unto you areG1510 spiritG4151 and areG1510 lifeG2222. 64But there areG1510 some of you who do not believeG4100. For JesusG2424 knew from the beginning who they wereG1510 who did not believeG4100, and who would deliverG3860 him up. 65And he saidG3004, Therefore saidG3004 I unto you, that no oneG3762 can comeG2064 to me unless it beG1510 givenG1325 to him from the FatherG3962. 66From that [time] manyG4183 of his disciplesG3101 wentG565 awayG565 backG3694 and walkedG4043 no moreG4183 with him. 67JesusG2424 thereforeG3767 saidG3004 to the twelveG1427, WillG2309 ye alsoG2532 goG5217 awayG5217? 68SimonG4613 PeterG4074 answeredG611 him, LordG2962, to whom shall we goG565? thou hast words of lifeG2222 eternalG166; 69and we have believedG4100 and knownG1097 that thou art the holyG40 oneG3588 of 7GodG2316. 70JesusG2424 answeredG611 them, Have not I chosen you the twelveG1427? and of you oneG1520 isG1510 a devilG1228. 71NowG1161 he spokeG3004 of JudasG2455 [the son] of SimonG4613, Iscariote, for he [it wasG1510 who] should deliverG3860 him up, beingG1510 oneG1520 of the twelveG1427.
