Darby Bible

1These thingsG3778 I have spokenG2980 unto you that ye may not be offendedG4624. 2They shall putG615 you out of the synagogues; but the hourG5610 is comingG2064 that every oneG3588 who killsG615 you will thinkG1380 to render serviceG2999 to 1GodG2316; 3and these thingsG3778 they will do because they have not knownG1097 the FatherG3962 nor me. 4But I have spokenG2980 these thingsG3778 to you, that whenG3752 their hourG5610 shall have comeG2064, ye may rememberG3421 them, that I have saidG3004 [them] unto you. But I did not sayG3004 these thingsG3778 unto you from [the] beginning, because I wasG1510 with you. 5But nowG1161 I goG5217 to him that has sentG3992 me, and noneG3762 of you demands of me, WhereG4226 goest thou? 6But because I have spokenG2980 these thingsG3778 to you, sorrowG3077 has filledG4137 your heartG2588. 7But I sayG3004 the truthG225 to you, It is profitableG4851 for you that I goG4198 awayG565; for if I do not goG4198 awayG565, the Comforter will not comeG2064 to you; but if I goG4198 I will sendG3992 him to you. 8And having comeG2064, he will bring demonstration to the worldG2889, of sinG266, and of righteousnessG1343, and of judgmentG2920: 9of sinG266, because they do not believeG4100 on me; 10of righteousnessG1343, because I goG5217 awayG5217 to [my] FatherG3962, and ye behold me no longer; 11of judgmentG2920, because the rulerG758 of this worldG2889 is judgedG2919. 12I have yetG235 manyG4183 thingsG4183 to sayG3004 to you, but ye cannot bearG941 them nowG737. 13But whenG3752 he is comeG2064, the SpiritG4151 of truthG225, he shall guide you into all the truthG225: for he shall not speakG2980 from himself; but whatsoever he shall hearG191 he shall speakG2980; and he will announce to you what is comingG2064. 14He shall glorifyG1392 me, for he shall receiveG2983 of mine and shall announce [it] to you. 15All thingsG3778 that the FatherG3962 has areG1510 mine; on accountG1223 of this I have saidG3004 that he receivesG2983 of mine and shall announce [it] to you. 16A littleG3398 while and ye do not behold me; and againG3825 a littleG3398 while and ye shall seeG3708 me, [because I go away to the Father]. 17[Some] of his disciplesG3101 thereforeG3767 saidG3004 to oneG240 another, What isG1510 this he saysG3004 to us, A littleG3398 while and ye do not behold me; and againG3825 a littleG3398 while and ye shall seeG3708 me, and, Because I goG5217 awayG5217 to the FatherG3962? 18They saidG3004 thereforeG3767, What isG1510 this which he saysG3004 [of] the littleG3398 while? We do not know [of] what he speaksG2980. 19JesusG2424 knewG1097 therefore that they desiredG2309 to demand of him, and saidG3004 to them, Do ye inquire of this among yourselves that I saidG3004, A littleG3398 while and ye do not behold me; and againG3825 a littleG3398 while and ye shall seeG3708 me? 20Verily, verily, I sayG3004 to you, that ye shall weepG2799 and lament, ye, but the worldG2889 shall rejoiceG5463; and ye will be grievedG3076, but your griefG3077 shall be turned to joyG5479. 21A womanG1135, whenG3752 she gives birthG5088 to a childG3813, has griefG3077 because her hourG5610 has comeG2064; but whenG3752 the childG3813 is bornG1080, she no longer remembersG3421 the trouble, on accountG1223 of the joyG5479 that a manG444 has been bornG1080 into the worldG2889. 22And ye nowG1161 thereforeG3767 have griefG3077; but I will seeG3708 you againG3825, and your heartG2588 shall rejoiceG5463, and your joyG5479 no oneG3762 takesG142 from you. 23And in that dayG2250 ye shall demand nothing of me: verily, verily, I sayG3004 to you, Whatsoever ye shall askG154 the FatherG3962 in my nameG3686, he will giveG1325 you. 24Hitherto ye have askedG154 nothing in my nameG3686: askG154, and ye shall receiveG2983, that your joyG5479 may beG1510 fullG4137. 25These thingsG3778 I have spokenG2980 to you in allegories; the hourG5610 is comingG2064 that I will no longer speakG2980 to you in allegories, but will declare to you openlyG3954 concerningG4012 the FatherG3962. 26In that dayG2250 ye shall askG154 in my nameG3686; and I sayG3004 not to you that I will demand of the FatherG3962 for you, 27for the FatherG3962 himself has affection for you, because ye have had affection for me, and have believedG4100 that I cameG1831 out from 2GodG2316. 28I cameG2064 out from the FatherG3962 and have comeG2064 into the worldG2889; againG3825, I leaveG863 the worldG2889 and goG4198 to the FatherG3962. 29His disciplesG3101 sayG3004 to him, Lo, nowG3568 thou speakest openlyG3954 and utterest no allegory. 30NowG3568 we know that thou knowest all thingsG3778, and hast not needG5532 that any oneG5100 should demand of thee. By this we believeG4100 that thou art comeG1831 from 3GodG2316. 31JesusG2424 answeredG611 them, Do ye nowG737 believeG4100? 32BeholdG2400, [the] hourG5610 isG1510 comingG2064, and has comeG2064, that ye shall beG1510 scatteredG4650, each to his ownG2398, and shall leaveG863 me aloneG3441; and [yet] I amG1510 not aloneG3441, for the FatherG3962 isG1510 with me. 33These thingsG3778 have I spokenG2980 to you that in me ye might have peaceG1515. In the worldG2889 ye have tribulationG2347; but be of good courageG2293: I have overcomeG3528 the worldG2889.
