Acts 7:17-60
17But as the timeG5550 of promiseG1860 drew near which 1GodG2316 had promisedG1860 to AbrahamG11, the peopleG2992 increasedG837 and multipliedG4129 in EgyptG125, 18until another kingG935 over EgyptG125 aroseG450 who did not know JosephG2501. 19He dealt subtilly with our raceG1085, and evil entreated the fathersG3962, casting out their infantsG1025 that they might not live. 20In which timeG2540 MosesG3475 wasG1510 bornG1080, and wasG1510 exceedingly lovely, who wasG1510 nourished threeG5140 monthsG3376 in the houseG3624 of his fatherG3962. 21And when he was cast out, the daughterG2364 of PharaohG5328 took him up, and brought him up for herself [to be] for a sonG5207. 22And MosesG3475 wasG1510 instructed in all [the] wisdomG4678 of the EgyptiansG124, and he wasG1510 mightyG1415 in his wordsG3056 and deedsG2041. 23And whenG5613 a periodG5550 of fortyG5063 years was fulfilled to him, it cameG305 into his heartG2588 to look upon his brethren, the sonsG5207 of IsraelG2474; 24and seeingG3708 a certainG5100 oneG5100 wrongedG91, he defended [him], and avenged him that was being oppressed, smiting the EgyptianG124. 25For he thoughtG3543 that his brethren would understandG4920 that 2GodG2316 by his handG5495 was givingG1325 them deliverance. But they understoodG4920 not. 26And on the morrow he shewed himself to them as they wereG1510 contending, and compelled them to peaceG1515, sayingG3004, Ye areG1510 brethren, why do ye wrongG91 oneG240 another? 27But he that was wronging his neighbour thrust him awayG683, sayingG3004, Who established thee rulerG758 and judgeG1348 over us? 28Dost thou wishG2309 to kill me as thou killedst the EgyptianG124 yesterdayG5504? 29And MosesG3475 fledG5343 at this sayingG3056, and becameG1096 a sojourner in the landG1093 of Madiam, whereG3757 he begat twoG1417 sonsG5207. 30And when fortyG5062 yearsG2094 were fulfilled, an angelG32 appeared to him in the wildernessG2048 of mountG3735 SinaiG4614, in a flameG5395 of fireG4442 of a bushG942. 31And MosesG3475 seeingG3708 it wonderedG2296 at the visionG3705; and as he went up to considerG2657 it, there was a voiceG5456 of [the] LordG2962, 32I am the 3GodG2316 of thy fathersG3962, the 4GodG2316 of AbrahamG11, and of IsaacG2464, and of JacobG2384. And MosesG3475 trembled, and durst not considerG2657 [it]. 33And the LordG2962 saidG3004 to him, LooseG3089 the sandalG5266 of thy feetG4228, for the placeG5117 on which thou standest isG1510 holyG40 groundG1093. 34I have surely seenG3708 the ill treatment of my peopleG2992 which is in EgyptG125, and I have heardG191 their groan, and have comeG1204 down to take them out of it; and nowG3568, comeG1204, I will sendG649 thee to EgyptG125. 35This MosesG3475, whom they refused, sayingG3004, Who made thee rulerG758 and judgeG1348? him did 5GodG2316 sendG649 [to be] a rulerG758 and deliverer with the handG5495 of the angelG32 who appeared to him in the bushG942. 36He led them out, having wrought wondersG5059 and signsG4592 in the landG1093 of EgyptG125, and in the RedG2063 seaG2281, and in the wildernessG2048 fortyG5062 yearsG2094. 37This isG1510 the MosesG3475 who saidG3004 to the sonsG5207 of IsraelG2474, A prophetG4396 shall 6GodG2316 raiseG450 up to you out of your brethren like me [him shall ye hear]. 38This isG1510 he who wasG1510 in the assemblyG1577 in the wildernessG2048, with the angelG32 who spokeG2980 to him in the mountG3735 SinaiG4614, and with our fathersG3962; who receivedG1209 livingG2198 oracles to giveG1325 to us; 39to whom our fathersG3962 would not be subject, but thrust [him] from them, and in their heartsG2588 turnedG4762 back to EgyptG125, 40sayingG3004 to AaronG2, MakeG4160 us 7godsG2316 who shall goG4313 before us; for this MosesG3475, who brought us out of the landG1093 of EgyptG125, we know not what has happenedG1096 to him. 41And they made a calf in those daysG2250, and offered sacrificeG2378 to the idolG1497, and rejoiced in the worksG2041 of their own handsG5495. 42But 8GodG2316 turnedG4762 and deliveredG3860 them up to serveG3000 the hostG4756 of heavenG3772; as it is writtenG1125 in [the] bookG976 of the prophetsG4396, Have ye offeredG4374 me victims and sacrificesG2378 fortyG5062 yearsG2094 in the wildernessG2048, O houseG3624 of IsraelG2474? 43Yea, ye tookG353 up the tent of Moloch, and the starG798 of [your] 9godG2316 Remphan, the forms which ye madeG4160 to do homage to them; and I will transport you beyond BabylonG897. 44Our fathersG3962 had the tent of the testimonyG3142 in the wildernessG2048, as he that spokeG2980 to MosesG3475 commandedG1299 to makeG4160 it accordingG2596 to the model which he had seenG3708; 45which alsoG2532 our fathersG3962, receiving from their predecessors, broughtG1521 in with Joshua when they entered into possessionG2697 of [the lands of] the nationsG1484, whom 10GodG2316 drove out from [the] faceG4383 of our fathersG3962, until the daysG2250 of DavidG1138; 46who foundG2147 favour before 11GodG2316, and askedG154 to findG2147 a tabernacleG4638 for the 12GodG2316 of JacobG2384; 47but SolomonG4672 builtG3618 him a houseG3624. 48But the MostG5310 HighG5310 dwellsG2730 not in [places] made with handsG5499; as saysG3004 the prophetG4396, 49The heavenG3772 [is] my throneG2362 and the earthG1093 the footstoolG5286 of my feetG4228: what houseG3624 will ye buildG3618 me? saith [the] LordG2962, or where [is the] placeG5117 of my restG2663? 50has not my handG5495 madeG4160 all these thingsG3778? 51O stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heartG2588 and earsG3775, ye do alwaysG104 resist the HolyG40 SpiritG4151; as your fathersG3962, ye alsoG2532. 52Which of the prophetsG4396 have not your fathersG3962 persecutedG1377? and they have slain those who announced beforehand concerningG4012 the coming of the JustG1342 OneG3739, of whom ye have nowG3568 becomeG1096 deliverers up and murderersG5406! 53who have receivedG2983 the lawG3551 as ordained by [the] ministry of angelsG32, and have not keptG5442 [it]. 54And hearingG191 these thingsG3778 they were cutG1282 to the heartG2588, and gnashed their teethG3599 against him. 55But being fullG4134 of [the] HolyG40 SpiritG4151, having fixed his eyes on heavenG3772, he sawG3708 [the] gloryG1391 of 13GodG2316, and JesusG2424 standingG2476 at the rightG1188 handG1188 of 14GodG2316, 56and saidG3004, Lo, I beholdG2400 the heavensG3772 openedG1272, and the SonG5207 of manG444 standingG2476 at the rightG1188 handG1188 of 15GodG2316. 57And they criedG2896 out with a loudG3173 voiceG5456, and held their earsG3775, and rushedG3729 upon him with oneG3661 accordG3661; 58and having castG1544 [him] out of the cityG4172, they stoned [him]. And the witnessesG3144 laid asideG659 their clothesG2440 at the feetG4228 of a youngG3494 manG3494 calledG2564 SaulG4569. 59And they stoned StephenG4736, praying, and sayingG3004, LordG2962 JesusG2424, receiveG1209 my spiritG4151. 60And kneeling downG5087, he criedG2896 with a loudG3173 voiceG5456, LordG2962, lay not this sinG266 to their charge. And having saidG3004 this, he fell asleepG2837.
