2But becauseδιὰdiaG1223of immoralitiesπορνείαςporneiasG4202,eachG1538manG1538is to haveἐχέτω,echetōG2192his ownἑαυτοῦhe'autouG1438wifeγυναῖκαgunaikaG1135,and eachG1538womanG1135is to haveἐχέτω.echetōG2192her ownἴδιονidionG2398husbandἄνδραandraG435.

3The husbandἀνὴρanērG435mustG3782fulfillἀποδιδότω·apodidotōG591his dutyG3782to his wifeγυναικὶgunaikiG1135,and likewiseὁμοίωςhomoiōsG3668alsoκαὶkaiG2532the wifeγυνὴgunēG1135to her husbandἀνδρί.andriG435.

4The wifeγυνὴgunēG1135does not haveG1850authorityἐξουσιάζειexousiazeiG1850overG1850her ownἰδίουidiouG2398bodyσώματοςsōmatosG4983,but the husbandἀνήρ·anērG435does;and likewiseὁμοίωςhomoiōsG3668alsoκαὶkaiG2532the husbandἀνὴρanērG435does not haveG1850authorityἐξουσιάζειexousiazeiG1850overG1850his ownἰδίουidiouG2398bodyσώματοςsōmatosG4983,but the wifeγυνή.gunēG1135does.

9But ifεἰeiG1487they do not haveG1467self-controlG1467,let them marryγαμησάτωσαν·gamēsatōsanG1060;for it is betterG2909to marryγαμῆσαιgamēsaiG1060thanἢēG2228to burnπυροῦσθαι.¶purousthaiG4448with passion.

10But to the marriedγεγαμηκόσινgegamēkosinG1060I giveG3853instructionsG3853,not I, but the Lordκύριος,kuriosG2962,that the wifeγυναῖκαgunaikaG1135should notleaveχωρισθῆναι·chōristhēnaiG5563her husbandἀνδρὸςandrosG435

33but one who is marriedγαμήσαςgamēsasG1060is concernedμεριμνᾷmerimnaG3309about the things of the worldκόσμου,kosmouG2889,howπῶςpōsG4459he may pleaseἀρέσῃaresēG700his wifeγυναικί,gunaikiG1135,
