Romans 14

Darby Bible

1NowG1161 him that is weakG770 in the faithG4102 receiveG4355, not to [the] determining of questions of reasoning. 2OneG3739 man is assured that he may eatG2068 all thingsG3956; but the weakG770 eatsG2068 herbs. 3Let not him that eatsG2068 make little of him that eatsG2068 not; and let not him that eatsG2068 not judgeG2919 him that eatsG2068: for 1GodG2316 has receivedG4355 him. 4Who art thou that judgest the servantG3610 of another? to his ownG2398 masterG2962 he standsG2476 or fallsG4098. And he shall beG1510 made to standG2476; for the LordG2962 isG1510 ableG1414 to make him standG2476. 5OneG1538 manG1538 esteems dayG2250 more than dayG2250; another esteems every dayG2250 [alike]. Let each be fullyG4135 persuaded in his ownG2398 mindG3563. 6He that regards the dayG2250, regards it to [the] LordG2962. And he that eatsG2068, eatsG2068 to [the] LordG2962, for he givesG2168 2GodG2316 thanksG2168; and he that does not eatG2068, [it is] to [the] LordG2962 he does not eatG2068, and givesG2168 3GodG2316 thanksG2168. 7For noneG3762 of us livesG2198 to himself, and noneG3762 diesG599 to himself. 8For both if we should liveG2198, [it isG1510] to the LordG2962 we liveG2198; and if we should dieG599, [it isG1510] to the LordG2962 we dieG599: both if we should liveG2198 thenG3767, and if we should dieG599, we areG1510 the Lord's. 9For to this [end] ChristG5547 has diedG599 and livedG2198 [again], that he might rule over both deadG3498 and livingG2198. 10But thou, whyG5101 judgest thou thy brotherG80? or again, thou, whyG5101 dost thou make little of thy brotherG80? for we shall all be placed before the judgment-seat of 4GodG2316. 11For it is writtenG1125, I liveG2198, saith [the] LordG2962, that to me shall bowG2578 every kneeG1119, and every tongueG1100 shall confessG1843 to 5GodG2316. 12So thenG3767 each of us shall giveG1325 an accountG3056 concerningG4012 himself to 6GodG2316. 13Let us no longerG3371 thereforeG3767 judgeG2919 oneG240 another; but judgeG2919 ye this ratherG3123, not to putG5087 a stumbling-block or a fall-trap before his brotherG80. 14I know, and amG1510 persuadedG3982 in the LordG2962 JesusG2424, that nothing isG1510 uncleanG2839 of itself; except to him who reckons anythingG5100 to beG1510 uncleanG2839, to that man [it isG1510] uncleanG2839. 15For if on accountG1223 of meat thy brotherG80 is grievedG3076, thou walkest no longer accordingG2596 to loveG26. DestroyG622 not him with thy meat for whom ChristG5547 has diedG599. 16Let not thenG3767 your goodG18 be evil spoken of; 17for the kingdomG932 of 7GodG2316 isG1510 not eatingG1035 and drinkingG4213, but righteousnessG1343, and peaceG1515, and joyG5479 in [the] HolyG40 SpiritG4151. 18For he that in this servesG1398 the ChristG5547 [is] acceptable to 8GodG2316 and approved of menG444. 19So then let us pursueG1377 the things which tend to peaceG1515, and things whereby oneG240 shall buildG3619 up another. 20For the sakeG1223 of meat do not destroyG2647 the workG2041 of 9GodG2316. All thingsG3956 indeed [are] pureG2513; but [it is] evilG2556 to that manG444 who eatsG2068 while stumbling [in doing so]. 21[It is] rightG2570 not to eatG2068 meatG2907, nor drinkG4095 wineG3631, nor [do anything] in which thy brotherG80 stumbles, or is offendedG4624, or is weakG770. 22Hast thou faithG4102? have [it] to thyself before 10GodG2316. Blessed [is] he who does not judgeG2919 himself in what he allows. 23But he that doubtsG1252, if he eatG2068, isG1510 condemnedG2632; because [it isG1510] not of faithG4102; but whatever [isG1510] not of faithG4102 isG1510 sinG266.
