Romans 10

Darby Bible

1Brethren, the delight of my own heartG2588 and my supplicationG1162 which [I address] to 1GodG2316 for them is for salvationG4991. 2For I bearG3140 them witnessG3140 that they have zealG2205 for 2GodG2316, but not accordingG2596 to knowledgeG1922. 3For they, being ignorantG50 of 3God's righteousnessG1343, and seekingG2212 to establishG2476 their ownG2398 [righteousnessG1343], have not submitted to the righteousnessG1343 of 4GodG2316. 4For ChristG5547 is [the] endG5056 of lawG3551 for righteousnessG1343 to every oneG3588 that believesG4100. 5For MosesG3475 lays down in writingG1125 the righteousnessG1343 which is of the lawG3551, The manG444 who has practised those things shall liveG2198 by them. 6But the righteousnessG1343 of faithG4102 speaksG3004 thusG3779: Do not sayG3004 in thine heartG2588, Who shall ascendG305 to the heavensG3772? that isG1510, to bringG2609 ChristG5547 downG2609; 7or, Who shall descendG2597 into the abyssG12? that isG1510, to bringG321 up ChristG5547 from among [the] deadG3498. 8But what saysG3004 it? The word isG1510 near thee, in thy mouthG4750 and in thy heartG2588: that isG1510, the word of faithG4102, which we preachG2784: 9that if thou shalt confessG3670 with thy mouthG4750 JesusG2424 as LordG2962, and shalt believeG4100 in thine heartG2588 that 5GodG2316 has raisedG1453 him from among [the] deadG3498, thou shalt be savedG4982. 10For with [the] heartG2588 is believedG4100 to righteousnessG1343; and with [the] mouthG4750 confession made to salvationG4991. 11For the scriptureG1124 saysG3004, No oneG3588 believingG4100 on him shall be ashamed. 12For there isG1510 no difference of JewG2453 and GreekG1672; for the sameG846 LordG2962 of all [isG1510] richG4147 towards all that callG1941 upon him. 13For every oneG3739 whosoever, who shall callG1941 on the nameG3686 of the LordG2962, shall be savedG4982. 14HowG4459 thenG3767 shall they callG1941 upon him in whom they have not believedG4100? and howG4459 shall they believeG4100 on him of whom they have not heardG191? and howG4459 shall they hearG191 without oneG3739 who preachesG2784? 15and howG4459 shall they preachG2784 unless they have been sentG649? according as it is writtenG1125, HowG4459 beautifulG5611 the feetG4228 of them that announce glad tidings of peace, of them that announce glad tidings of goodG18 thingsG18! 16But they have not all obeyedG5219 the glad tidings. For Esaias saysG3004, LordG2962, who has believedG4100 our reportG189? 17So faithG4102 thenG1161 [is] by a reportG189, but the reportG189 by 6God's word. 18But I sayG3004, Have they not heardG191? Yea, surelyG3361, Their voice has goneG1831 out into all the earthG1093, and their words to the extremities of the habitable worldG3625. 19But I sayG3004, Has not IsraelG2474 knownG1097? FirstG4413, MosesG3475 saysG3004, I will provoke you to jealousyG3863 through [them that are] not a nationG1484: through a nationG1484 without understandingG801 I will anger you. 20But Esaias is very bold, and saysG3004, I have been foundG2147 by those not seekingG2212 me; I have becomeG1096 manifest to those not inquiring after me. 21But unto IsraelG2474 he saysG3004, All the dayG2250 long I have stretched out my handsG5495 unto a peopleG2992 disobeying and opposing.
