Genesis 45

Darby Bible

1And JosephH3130 could not control himself before all them that stoodH5975 by him, and he cried, Put every manH376 out from me! And no manH376 stoodH5975 with him when JosephH3130 madeH3045 himself knownH3045 to his brethren. 2And he raised his voiceH6963 in weepingH1065; and the EgyptiansH4713 heardH8085, and the houseH1004 of PharaohH6547 heardH8085. 3And JosephH3130 saidH559 to his brethren, I am JosephH3130. Does my fatherH1 yetH5750 live? And his brethren could not answerH6030 him, for they were troubled at his presenceH6440. 4And JosephH3130 saidH559 to his brethren, Come near to me, I pray you. And they came near. And he saidH559, I am JosephH3130 your brotherH251, whom ye soldH4376 into EgyptH4714. 5And nowH6258, be not grieved, and be not angryH2734 with yourselves, that ye soldH4376 me hither, for 1GodH430 sentH7971 me before you to preserve life. 6For the famineH7458 has been these two yearsH8141 in the landH776; and yetH5750 there are fiveH2568 yearsH8141 in which there will be neither ploughing nor harvestH7105. 7So 2GodH430 sentH7971 me before you to preserve you a remnantH7611 in the earthH776, and to save you aliveH2421 by a greatH1419 deliveranceH6413. 8And nowH6258 it was not you [that] sentH7971 me hereH2008, but 3GodH430; and he has madeH7760 me a fatherH1 to PharaohH6547, and lordH113 of all his houseH1004, and governor over all the landH776 of EgyptH4714. 9HasteH4116 and goH5927 up to my fatherH1, and sayH559 to him, ThusH3541 saysH559 thy sonH1121 JosephH3130: 4GodH430 has madeH7760 me lordH113 of all EgyptH4714; comeH5927 down to me, tarry not. 10And thou shalt dwellH3427 in the landH776 of GoshenH1657, and thou shalt beH1961 near to me, thou, and thy sonsH1121, and thy sons' sonsH1121, and thy sheepH6629, and thy cattleH1241, and all that thou hast. 11And there will I maintain thee; for yetH5750 there are fiveH2568 yearsH8141 of famineH7458; in order that thou be not impoverishedH3423, thou, and thy householdH1004, and all that thou hast. 12And behold, your eyesH5869 seeH7200, and the eyesH5869 of my brotherH251 BenjaminH1144, that it is my mouthH6310 which speaksH1696 to you. 13And tellH5046 my fatherH1 of all my gloryH3519 in EgyptH4714, and of all that ye have seenH7200, and hasteH4116 and bringH3381 down my fatherH1 hither. 14And he fellH5307 on his brotherH251 Benjamin's neckH6677, and weptH1058; and BenjaminH1144 weptH1058 on his neckH6677. 15And he kissedH5401 all his brethren, and weptH1058 upon them; and after that his brethren talked with him. 16And the report was heardH8085 in Pharaoh's houseH1004, sayingH559, Joseph's brethren are comeH935. And it was goodH3190 in the eyesH5869 of PharaohH6547, and in the eyesH5869 of his bondmen. 17And PharaohH6547 saidH559 to JosephH3130, SayH559 to thy brethren, Do this: load your beasts and depart, goH935 into the landH776 of CanaanH3667, 18and takeH3947 your fatherH1 and your householdsH1004, and comeH935 to me; and I will giveH5414 you the goodH2898 of the landH776 of EgyptH4714, and ye shall eatH398 the fatH2459 of the landH776. 19And thou art commandedH6680 — this do: takeH3947 waggons out of the landH776 of EgyptH4714 for your littleH2945 onesH2945 and for your wivesH802, and takeH3947 up your fatherH1, and comeH935. 20And let not your eyeH5869 regret your stuff; for the goodH2898 of all the landH776 of EgyptH4714 shall be yours. 21And the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478 did soH3651; and JosephH3130 gaveH5414 them waggons, according to the commandment of PharaohH6547, and gaveH5414 them provision for the wayH1870. 22To each oneH376 of them all he gaveH5414 changes of clothingH8071; but to BenjaminH1144 he gaveH5414 threeH7969 hundredH3967 [pieces] of silverH3701 and fiveH2568 changes of clothingH8071. 23And to his fatherH1 he sentH7971 this: tenH6235 asses laden with the goodH2898 thingsH2898 of EgyptH4714, and tenH6235 she-asses laden with corn and breadH3899, and foodH3899 for his fatherH1 by the wayH1870. 24And he sentH7971 his brethren awayH7971, and they departed. And he saidH559 to them, Do not quarrel on the wayH1870. 25And they wentH935 up out of EgyptH4714, and cameH935 into the landH776 of CanaanH3667 to JacobH3290 their fatherH1. 26And they toldH5046 him, sayingH559, JosephH3130 is stillH5750 aliveH2416, and he is governor over all the landH776 of EgyptH4714. And his heartH3820 fainted, for he did not believeH539 them. 27And they spokeH1696 to him all the wordsH1697 of JosephH3130, which he had spokenH1696 to them. And he sawH7200 the waggons that JosephH3130 had sentH7971 to carryH5375 him. And the spiritH7307 of JacobH3290 their fatherH1 revived. 28And IsraelH3478 saidH559, It is enoughH7227: JosephH3130 my sonH1121 is yetH5750 aliveH2416; I will go and seeH7200 him before I dieH4191.
